PGA Props Picks: Valspar Championship Predictions
by Mike Allen - 3/20/2024
Yes, I know the 2024 NCAA Tournament tips off this week with the first and second rounds of action. These are, of course, on the same days as the Valspar Championship. I won't tell you to spend more time watching golf than March Madness, but you can at least make some money. With how quickly your bracket could break, you may need the extra cash come the Sweet 16 and Final Four.
2024 LPGA Picks: Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Matt Zitt - 3/20/2024
We are about a month away from major season and the LPGA returns this week at the Palos Verdes Golf Club for the Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship. This event is the latest iteration of the LA Open before Palos Verdes Golf Club took over hosting duties in 2023. Its name change coincides with five-time major winner, Seri Pak, becoming the tournament host for the 2024 edition. Nelly Korda leads the pack this year for the odds-on favorite to win the event. She is followed by Brooke M. Henderson, Xiyu Lin, Patty Tavatanakit, amongst others who will try to stand victorious on Sunday. Doc’s Sports will break down the event below.
PGA Picks: The Players Championship Predictions and Golf Odds
by Matt Zitt - 3/12/2024
Welcome to The Players week, folks! Bay Hill Club & Lodge provided the most difficult test of the year up to this point, but players will have to shift focus to the challenging TPC Sawgrass for the biggest purse of the season. The field is loaded, as 46 of the top 50 golfers in the world will be competing, led by defending champion Scottie Scheffler at 5-1 odds. The Players, known as the fifth major, features the best the PGA Tour has to offer and presents one of the more challenging layouts in professional golf. Doc’s Sports will break down some of the best options for this upcoming weekend below.
PGA Props Picks: The Players Championship Predictions
by Mike Allen - 3/12/2024
We raise an iced tea and lemonade mix to those who were on the #1 ranked golfer in the world to take home the trophy at this past weekend’s Arnold Palmer Invitational. We had Scottie Scheffler at (-135) to beat Rory McIlroy on the moneyline in a matchup bet. We haven’t seen someone this dominant on the PGA Tour for quite some time. If the 27-year-old from New Jersey can continue at this pace for some time, we could be talking about him as an all-time great.
2024 LIV Golf Picks: LIV Golf Tour Hong Kong Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Matt Zitt - 3/6/2024
After hitting on the first two LIV events of the 2024 season, we fell flat last week with our Jeddah picks. The LIV Golf League will hold this week’s event at Hong Kong Golf Club, located in Fanling, Hong Kong. This will be the final LIV event for three weeks as players will be getting their form ready for The Masters.
2024 LPGA Picks: Blue Bay LPGA Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Matt Zitt - 3/6/2024
The LPGA will finish its Asian swing this week before a mini-break and heading back to the United States. They will finish up their journey of East Asia with a long-awaited return to the Jian Lake Blue Bay golf course for the Blue Bay LPGA. The event was first staged in 2014 and took place every year up to and including 2018. After a five-year hiatus, some of the top golfers on the planet have traveled to compete in this year’s event, including odds-on favorite Celine Boutier, and superstars Lydia Ko and Lilia Vu. Doc’s Sports will break down some of the action for this week’s Blue Bay LPGA below.
PGA Picks: Arnold Palmer Invitational Golf Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Matt Zitt - 3/5/2024
The Florida Swing continues this week with the Arnold Palmer Invitational after a Monday finish at the Cognizant Classic. Our picks fell quickly last week after another long shot at 100-1 in Austin Eckroat took home the title. But, if we have learned anything from John and Jeremy in Wedding Crashers, rule #76: no excuses, play like a champion. We will try and turn our luck around this week as 18 of the top 20 golfers in the world will tee it up this weekend at Bay Hill Club & Lounge.
PGA Props Picks: Arnold Palmer Invitational Predictions
by Mike Allen - 3/5/2024
The Florida Swing portion of the PGA Tour continues this week with the Arnold Palmer Invitational at the famed Bay Hill. These links have been undergoing a significant amount of changes over the past several years. However, these alterations are mostly restoring the course closer to its original form. Just down the road from Disney World, Bay Hill has been known to play as difficult as any other course on the Tour, as it has ranked no worse than the 10th most difficult over the past 4 years.
2024 LIV Golf Picks: LIV Golf Tour Jeddah Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Matt Zitt - 2/28/2024
LIV Golf heads to Saudi Arabia for the league’s third event of the 2024 season in LIV Jeddah. We will look to pick a winner in three straight tournaments, as we have nailed the first two events. We took Joaquin Niemann in the LIV season opener in Mexico, and Dustin Johnson did not let us down in the bright lights of Vegas. There are a few storylines that take precedence this week as Brooks Koepka will look to three-peat this event and one-time golf prodigy Anthony Kim returns to professional golf for the first time in 11 years for this week’s LIV tourney. Doc’s Sports will break down some of the best bets below for LIV’s third journey of the year.
2024 PGA Picks: Cognizant Classic Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Matt Zitt - 2/27/2024
The Florida swing begins this week for the PGA Tour with the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches. Most big-time names have taken this week off to prepare for the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players Championship in the following weeks. Rory Mcllroy and Cameron Young headline this week’s field as the top-two odds to win the event. Formerly known as the Honda Classic, the venue has stayed the same at the Champion Course of PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens. There are 144 golfers in this week’s field and there will be a standard top-65 and ties cut after the first two rounds. Doc’s Sports will break it down below.
2024 LPGA Picks: HSBC Women’s World Championship Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Matt Zitt - 2/27/2024
The Asian Swing continues this week with the HSBC Women’s World Championship in Singapore at Sentosa Golf Club. Last weekend was fueled with excitement as Patty Tavatanaki took a three-stroke lead into the final round and birdied the 72nd hole to claim her victory. Now, we head into the 16th edition of the HSBC Women’s World Championship where South Korean Golfers have dominated this event in recent years, with seven of the last eight champions. It could be anyone’s week though, with 34 of the top 50 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings competing. Doc’s Sport will break down this weekend’s event on the LPGA Tour below.
2024 LPGA Picks: Honda LPGA Thailand Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Matt Zitt - 2/21/2024
The LPGA Tour returns to action with its Asian Swing after nearly a month off. The Honda LPGA Thailand is set to take place from February 22nd-25th at the Siam Country Club’s Old Course in Chonburi, Thailand. This is the third event of the 2024 season and will feature a limited field of 72 players with no 36-hole cut. This field features six of the top 10 players in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings. There will also be 13 total players making their 2024 debut this week. Doc’s Sports will break down some of the best bets from the LPGA’s third event of the 2024 season below.
2024 PGA Picks: Mexico Open Golf Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Matt Zitt - 2/20/2024
The West Coast swing has come to an end, where we saw Hideki Matsuyama put together a magnificent final round to capture The Genesis Invitational title on Sunday. He is the seventh straight golfer to win at odds of 70-1 or greater with five winners at 180-1 or better. Now, the PGA Tour heads to Mexico, where we find one of the weakest fields of the entire season. Most players take this week off to gear up for Florida. Tony Finau upstaged Jon Rahm in last year’s Mexico Open, and there is no doubt that he is the overwhelming favorite to repeat. Doc’s Sports will break down some of the best bets for this upcoming week at Vidanta Vallarta.
PGA Props Picks: Mexico Open Predictions
by Mike Allen - 2/20/2024
Buenos dias and Bienvenido to picturesque Puerto Vallarta for the PGA Tour’s Mexico Open. The west coast is the best coast in Old Mexico. Though, many of the top pros on the PGA Tour didn't get the memo. The betting favorite this week is Tony Finau. I have nothing against the lanky Salt Lake City native, but seeing him at the top of the betting board isn't something we're used to.
PGA Props Picks: Genesis Invitational Predictions
by Mike Allen - 2/13/2024
We are coming off of a much-needed bounce-back weekend at the Phoenix Open. We were on Sam Burns to outplay Jordan Spieth as the even-money underdog at (+100). Both men played quite well, finishing inside the top 6, however, our guy Burns wrapped up the weekend 4 shots ahead.
2024 LIV Golf Picks: LIV Golf Tour Las Vegas Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Matt Zitt - 2/7/2024
LIV Golf heads to Sin City this week to tee off at Las Vegas Country Club. We nailed our Niemann selection last weekend in Mayakoba, even though we had to sweat it out. He shot 12-under in Round 1 and ended up defeating Sergio Garcia in a fourth playoff hole with darkness approaching. Now we shift gears to Vegas, where LIV strategically planned this event to coincide with the Super Bowl. There should be a bigger crowd than normal to get increased exposure for a tour that now boasts many of the best golfers in the world. Just like last week, Jon Rahm is the overwhelming favorite to win this event. Doc’s Sports will break down this weekend's action below.
2024 PGA Picks: Waste Management Phoenix Open Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Matt Zitt - 2/6/2024
Another week and another long shot. Wyndham Clark took home the trophy at last week's Pebble Beach Pro-am after a weather-shortened 54 holes. Clark was a 90-1 longshot heading into last week, and that makes five straight events where at least a 90-1 odds player stood victorious. Now, we switch our attention to the Waste Management in Phoenix, Arizona, where World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler will look to win this event for a third straight year.
PGA Props Picks: Waste Management at Phoenix Open Predictions
by Mike Allen - 2/6/2024
Let's get the party started! Yes, on a smaller scale, it is Super Bowl LVIII week, but more importantly, the PGA Tour makes its yearly stop in the ritzy town of Scottsdale, Arizona. You think I'm kidding? The Waste Management Phoenix Open is a unique experience for fans watching at home, especially for those who made the journey, bought the tickets, and now they get their own "12th man" experience, if you will, as they rock the grandstands rooting on their favorite golfers.
PGA Props Picks: Pebble Beach Pro-Am
by Mike Allen - 1/31/2024
Hello everyone, and welcome to another week of PGA Tour betting. Last week was our most disappointing of the new year and the new season. That's okay, though, because in the first few we got ahead and are still in the green. At least we aren't chasing winners because I haven't seen anyone else predict the long shots and unknown names that have been the victors thus far in the 2023 PGA Tour season.
2024 LIV Golf Picks: LIV Golf Tour Mayakoba Odds and Expert Betting Predictions
by Matt Zitt - 1/31/2024
The LIV Golf League kicks off its third season at El Camaleon Golf Course, in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The star power and depth continue to expand on the LIV circuit as World No. 3 Jon Rahm left the PGA Tour in favor of LIV. Fellow Europeans Tyrrell Hatton and Adrian Meronk are the latest players to also make the switch over from the PGA. The new guys are the favorites for this event, as Rahm is +400 and Hatton comes in at +1200.
