NFL Office Pool Picks – Week 11
by T.O. Whenham - 11/17/2009
There are no more bye weeks. That means that we have more games this week for our NFL office pool picks than we have had in a long while. Hopefully that means we will pick more straight up winners as well:
NFL Office Pool Picks – Week 10

This is, thankfully, the last of the bye weeks for this year. That means that we are back to a full NFL schedule next week. More games means more opportunities for bettors, more games for fans to watch, and a generally better Sunday. This is also the first week that we have seen a Thursday night game since week one, so make sure that you get your NFL office pool picks in on time.

The Falcons are on a bit of a slide, and Matt Ryan isn't looking particularly good right now. That's a concern. Or at least it would be if they were playing a real team. Washington is coming off a bye week, but I'm not convinced that they could fix what is ailing them if they had a month off. Atlanta needs a boost of confidence, so this home game comes at just the right time.
NFL Office Pool Picks – Week 8

Back at it - another week of picking straight up winners in the NFL. Here's hoping that this week provides a more interesting set of games. Six of 12 Sunday games last week were decided by at least four touchdowns - talk about a cure for insomnia.
NFL Office Pool Picks – Week 7

We've had lots of solid weeks this year picking winners straight up in the NFL, and last week, with 10 wins, was no exception. What we have yet to have this year, though, is one of those eye-popping weeks where you can do nothing wrong and everything you touch turns to gold. Let's chase after one of those this week:

I still am not entirely convinced that the Bengals are a team built for the long haul. They've been too disappointing for too long to have suddenly figured things out. That being said, this is a good spot for them. Houston is inconsistent, doesn't excel on the road, and is coming off a tough loss
NFL Office Pool Picks – Week 5
by T.O. Whenham - 10/8/2009
It was a fairly straightforward week for picking office pool winners last week - it's not hard to be right more often than you are wrong when the better team wins most of the games. Let's get right at it to see if we can have an even better week this time. Remember, these picks are straight up, not against the spread.
NFL Office Pool Picks – Week 4
by T.O. Whenham - 9/29/2009
This week we enter the first of eight bye weeks. That means fewer games, so fewer chances for us to be wrong. That's good news. Here's a look at this week's action. Remember, all games are picked straight up, not against the spread:
NFL Office Pool Picks – Week 3
by T.O. Whenham - 9/23/2009
It was a rough week as we tried to pick straight up winners in the NFL last week. We picked nine of the 16 winners, and got burned by many of the same games that allowed the Las Vegas sportsbooks to have a particularly profitable weekend. The season is a marathon not a sprint, though, so we'll use the information we have now gained over two weeks of play to significantly improve from last week and return to our strong performance of the opening week.
NFL Office Pool Picks – Week 2
by T.O. Whenham - 9/15/2009
It was a good start to the season for our NFL office pool picks. We went 13-3, and there is no reason to really beat ourselves up for the three losses. Let's see if we can do it again. As a reminder, these picks are made straight up, so there is no consideration of point spreads:
NFL Office Pool Picks – Week 1

Another NFL season means that there are office pools just begging to be won. Winning your office pool gets you almost endless bragging rights, and it's a recession so you could probably use the cash prize as well. To help you in your pursuit I'll do what I did last year and offer up my suggestions for every game this year (for what that's worth). These picks are all straight up, not against the spread, so they obviously don't convert into any kind of betting advice.
