Free College Basketball Prediction From Doc's Sports:
Take Maryland over Northwestern (9 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 16)
The Terrapins have a squad that can compete for the Big 10 Championship but need to win these type of games in order to achieve those aspirations. Maryland has a much better team than Northwestern this season, as the Cats will enter having lost 3 straight games. Maryland got back on track and will enter this game having won 2 straight games. Take the visitor in this one. Do not miss out on Doc’s Sports weekend card, featuring playoff winners, basketball winners, and hockey plays. Free College Basketball Prediction From Strike Point Sports:
Take #888 Georgetown over DePaul (8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 17)
Back-to-back free play winners! Going for three free play wins in a row and the Hoyas have a chance to put it on a struggling DePaul group. Georgetown is much improved in Ed Cooley's second year and have played some tough contests against the stalwarts of the Big East. Despite the Blue Demons impressive record in the nonconference, they're still the bottom feeders in this basketball league and the home side will relish the opportunity to prove their distance. Big man Thomas Sorber (14.8ppg, 8.5rpg) has been a consistent force, and guard Jayden Epps (13.9ppg) is always the X-Factor, even if he's not 100%. Back the Hoyas to open the weekend with a resounding victory. If you don’t have an account at Doc’s Sports sign up now and get $60 in free premium member picks click here. Free NFL Prediction From Nick Menken:
Take ‘Over’ 42.0 Houston vs. Kansas City (4:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 18)
On Saturday, the Houston Texans will face off against the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Divisional Round game. Kansas City is the number one seed in the AFC; hence, they received a bye in the first round. On the other hand, Houston performed well in their first playoff game against the Chargers, winning by a score of 32-12. These two teams have not faced each other since week 16. They previously faced off in Kansas City, where the Chiefs won the game with a score of 27-19. However, if Houston plays like they did against the Chargers, we are going to have a fantastic time. CJ moved the ball well against the Chargers' defense, and the offense looked crisp as a result. This gave the Houston defense the opportunity to step up and make plays. In Kansas City, this game is likely to be frigid. The Chiefs will attempt to eliminate the Texans from the playoffs by scoring points early in the game. However, the Houston team is cohesive and will react to any moves made by the Chiefs. Given that Kansas City is hosting this game, I believe the total is low. I am confident that Patrick Mahomes won't let it slow him down, and CJ will need to respond with points. I think this game will be a shootout, which is why we are betting on more than 42 total points in this matchup. I believe the total is too low for two strong offenses in the AFC divisional game. Free NFL Prediction From Raphael Esparza:
Take Kansas City 1st Half (-5.5) over Houston (4:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 18)
The Kansas City Chiefs come into this home Divisional playoff game well-rested, and I see the Chiefs defense dominating this game. Throw out Week #18 stats as the Chiefs didn't play any key players in that loss against the Broncos. However, besides that game, the Chiefs won the First Half in 6-Straight games, and I see this trend continuing Saturday. I would even look at the Chiefs First Quarter line as well as I see Patrick Mahomes starting out hot and their 'D' starting off strong. Free College Basketball Prediction From Robert Ferringo:
Take UC-Riverside (+7) over San Diego (8 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 18)
Yet another free play win last week and I am now 37-14 (73%) with my last 51 free plays. We have racked up 63 of 89 wins in this space (71%) and I am 108-54 (67%) with my free newsletter plays over the last 162 weeks. I’m going to take a crack on this home underdog Saturday in the Big West. San Diego is 14-3 and is off to a brilliant start to the conference season. However, they suffered a tough home loss to UC-Irvine last week and that has taken some of the wind out of their sails. I am sure this team is going to blast hapless Long Beach State on Thursday, but Riverside is going to put up a fight at home on Saturday. Riverside if off of two straight losses. But they should be set for a bounce back. This team already has four Top 150 wins and they took BYU to the limit in nonconference. This team has been battled-hardened by a really challenging schedule, and they won’t back down on their home court. Riverside has only lost to San Diego by more than five points once in the last two years. They should hang around and make these points stick. Free NFL Prediction From Craig Trapp:
Take ‘Under’ 44.0 Los Angeles at Philadelphia (3 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 19)
Two great defenses show off again this week after both dominating last week. Eagles are happy with running the ball and using up the clock, and that will limit number of possessions and make this under look like easy money. The Rams defense will also do their part, as this group continues to lock down (3 of last 4 games held teams under 10 points). Take the under in Eagles and Rams game. Free NFL Prediction From Jason Sharpe:
Take #390 Detroit (-9.5) over Washington (8 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 19)
This number is more than I like to lay on a favorite in the NFL but the betting markets just can't seem to catch up to Dan Campbell and his Detroit Lions. Under Campbell's watch, the Lions have posted a top three against the spread record in each and every NFL season that he's been in Detroit (four years). The Detroit offense is as good as it gets, and they seem to play at an even higher level on the fast track of Ford Field as they've averaged 35 points per game there this season. On the other side of things, the Washington Commanders have had an unexpectedly good season, going 13-5 overall. However, keep a couple things in mind, they benefitted greatly from not only playing the easiest schedule in the league during the regular season and they've also went 9-1 this year in games that were decided by 5 points or less. The Commanders played five games the during the regular season versus playoff teams, and they covered the point spread just one time and that was at home versus a Philadelphia Eagles team that lost their starting quarterback in the 1st quarter. Add in the fact they have also allowed an average of 31 points per game this year to those five playoff squads. Play Detroit minus the points. Free NBA Prediction From Griffin Murphy:
Take Sacramento over Washington (9 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 19)
Sacramento is presently 20-19 on the year, 7-3 in their last 10 games, and on a stout 7-game winning streak after beating down Chicago on their own home court Sunday in a 124-119 final. Washington comes into this game 6-31 on the year, 2-8 in their last 10 games, and has now dropped 6 consecutive matchups. Washington is a pathetic 1-15 on the road this season, while Sacramento is 10-12 at home, yet only thriving to the upside. Sacramento is 8th across offensive ratings, 14th across defensive ratings, 8th in defensive turnovers, 8th from the field offensively, and 8th in points per game. Washington is 24th in offensive points per game, 30th across offensive ratings, and 30th across defensive ratings. Washington does not even come close to this talent pool, stacked up with Sacramento playing their best basketball of the season. I expect Sacramento to absolutely run through Washington in this Sunday night contest.
