Take 'Over' San Jose State vs. Nevada (10 p.m., Friday, Feb. 14)

The last time these two teams met, San Jose State lost 64-75 as the contest went to 139 points, and we have this game to be a much higher scoring affair this time around as San Jose State seeks to get some revenge here.  Remember, this is a San Jose State team coached by former Nebraska Coach Tim Miles, who has this team at 12-13 this year after a down year last year. And this is a team who had one of its worst losses of the year, losing to Boise State 52-79 as they only had 25 first half points and went 2/18 from three-point land.  Shooting 11% from three-point land is never going to cut it, and as this team comes back home, has revenge and the fact that this team is truly a top 130 offensive team that just had a bad night, we think they will be an active dog against Nevada at home on a Friday Night and that will push this game over the posted total.  Nevada's defense, remember, is also outside the top 100, so we expect San Jose State to have a far better offensive outlook in this game than they did against Boise State's stingy defense. Take Real Sociedad (+190) over Real Betis (3 p.m., Sunday Feb. 16)

Great value here on the road club. Real Betis all the sudden has forgotten how to play defense. They had that clean sheet over a Mallorca side that can’t score on anyone right now but in their other recent matches they have allowed 13 goals in four matches, as of this writing Tuesday. That includes three over the weekend against Celta Vigo and also three at home against Alaves. They have only five points in their last six LaLiga matches despite some winnable matches. Real Sociedad has looked good recently and they picked up wins in two straight (LaLiga and Copa del Rey). They are Top 3 in the league for goals allowed this season and we think their dominance on the defensive side gives them a great chance for the upset here on the road.
