Take #160 Ohio State (-13) over Indiana (Noon, Saturday, Nov. 23)

I am 29-14 (68%) with my last 43 free plays. We have racked up 55 of 81 wins in this space (68%) and I am 100-54 (65%) with my free newsletter plays over the last 153 weeks. I love Indiana. You love Indiana. We’ve certainly loved all the tickets we’ve cashed with Indiana this year. However, I don’t think they can slay this dragon. The reality is that the Hoosiers have been such a surprise because their expectations were so comically low to begin with. The Hoosiers have absolutely punished their opponents with blowout after blowout. But those wins have come against weak competition. And most of those wins have come at home. IU has only played three road games all season. They haven’t played anywhere or anyone like what they will face on Saturday in Columbus. Ohio State allowed 32 points at Oregon. Other than that, they have surrendered an average of just eight points per game against their other nine opponents, with only one team scoring over 14 points and no one else going over 17. I know it is a completely different group, but Ohio State has won the last three games against IU by 20, 42 and 47 points. I don’t think that this is going to be a total blowout. I think it will be like the UGA-Tennessee game last week where it was close for a half and the better team pulled away. We used the Bears as a free play winner last Sunday and easily covered the spread and should have been an underdog outright winner. Now we will ride them for a second straight week against another NFC North rival, the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings are 8-2 on the season yet are only around a field goal favorite. I still do not trust Sam Donald to win consistently over the course of a 17-game regular season. Minnesota is not as good as their 8-2 record would indicate, and playing outdoors in Chicago on Sunday will cause issues for them on both sides of the ball. Chicago has been hit or miss this season, but they will be up to play another divisional rival and we expect them to take this down to the wire as well. Kansas City comes into this game 9-1 on the season and coming off their first loss last week to Buffalo. You have to expect a pissed-off Kansas City team coming into this game after starting the season 9-0. Carolina is a brutal 3-7 on the season and on a 2-game win streak. These victories came against New Orleans in a 23-22 final and the New York Giants in a 20-17 final. These are perhaps the other 2 worst teams in football in front of Carolina. Carolina ranks 24th in the NFL when it comes to defending the pass. Patrick Mahomes and this Kansas City offense are 11th in passing yards and 1st in 3rd down conversions.
