This line is where it is due to that Virginia loss, but that was a bad spot for the Panthers. Pittsburgh had that game smack between SMU and Clemson, so the letdown spot was evident. Pittsburgh gets the Tigers at home, and they will be ready for this big ACC matchup. In the end I do like Clemson to win this game, but the points are just too valuable to pass up. The Tigers struggled to pull away from Florida State and Virginia Tech on the road this season, and I see the same thing happening this weekend in Pittsburgh. Solid win last week with Ohio State and I am 29-13 (68%) with my last 42 free plays. We have racked up 55 of 80 wins in this space (68%) and I am 100-53 (65%) with my free newsletter plays over the last 152 weeks. Last week we cashed with a big favorite. Now we’re going to cash with a big underdog. I just don’t see why Texas State would be motivated to go out and win this game by 30+ points. They’ve only done that twice this year, against Arkansas State and UT-San Antonio. This team also lost outright against Old Dominion and Sam Houston State despite being double-digit favorites and they barely beat FCS Lamar as a 33-point favorite. So I don’t trust them. Texas State won by 14 last year and these two played a six-point game in 2022. Southern Miss is coming off a 34-point loss where they were complete and total dung. It really can’t be worse than that. They only have two other losses by more than 30 points this year. And prior to that game against Marshall they had ‘only’ lost by 17, 16, 17 and 10 points. The Buffalo Bills are playing some excellent football coming into this one, winners of five straight and are very quietly sitting at 8-2 overall on the year. KC and Mahomes get lots of credit for winning these type of games, but keep in mind Buffalo is 9-1 against the spread the last 10 times in the regular season in games where they are lined between pick 'em and -3 points like this one here. Cincinnati comes into this game 4-6 on the season after dropping to Baltimore Thursday night in a 35-34 final. Cincinnati is presently 3-2 on the road versus a 1-4 home record. Los Angeles is now 6-3 on the season and on a 3-game win streak after beating Tennessee on Sunday in a 27-17 final. Los Angeles has had a very easy schedule as of late, dealing with Arizona, New Orleans, Cleveland, Tennessee, and now going into Sunday night primetime football against Cincinnati. The Bengals have dealt with Philadelphia, Las Vegas, and Baltimore in their three most recent matchups. This is a much tougher case of schedule. Cincinnati is finally putting points up on the board. They are presently ranked 6th in the NFL when it comes to offensive points per game, averaging 27 points. We can look at the defensive metrics for Los Angeles and expect such a stout defense from this team. There is zero correlation with this team's metrics as opposed to their strength of schedule. Cincinnati is 4th in the NFL when it comes to passing yards per game. Los Angeles is 9th in the NFL when it comes to defending the pass.
