I don’t just think that this team is going to cover the spread; I think they are going to win this game outright and end Jacksonville’s season. I predicted weeks ago that I didn’t think the Jaguars were going to make it back to the playoffs. I’m sticking with that. Mike Vrabel’s Titans teams have been outstanding underdogs. This team’s season is over. But they aren’t going to mail it in for this game. They would love nothing more than to send the Jags home. The Titans have played a host of playoff competitors in recent weeks, winning at Miami and losing by exactly three points to the Colts, Texans and Seattle. They could’ve won all three of those games, and they are a little better than their record. The Jaguars beat Carolina last week. Big deal. Carolina stinks. Prior to that, they were on an 0-4 SU and ATS run. Jacksonville is likely getting Trevor Lawrence back this week. There is no telling how effective he’ll be with his injured shoulder, though, or if he will be able to finish the game. Also, I love that Ryan Tannehill is getting the start in this one rather than Will Levis. This will be Tannehill’s final game with the Titans. He deserves a send-off. He’s been really good for a long stretch with this club. I think he’s going to turn back the clock here (along with DeAndre Hopkins) and give the Jaguars all kinds of problems. Throw in a little revenge for an embarrassing 34-14 loss to the Jags earlier this year, and I really like the Titans in this spot. Washington is also the lowest in the league in terms of points allowed per game. Dallas is a top contender and is playing for enormous consequences in this contest, but Washington's season is done, and they are merely playing for pride.
