Boston is back on the tear that we saw last season. Boston is 26-8-9 this season and first in the division. Boston is currently 6-1-3 in its previous ten games, playing tremendously important hockey. Montreal found a spark, then went completely off. Montreal is 18-18-7 on the season and has a dismal 3-5-2 record in its last ten games. Boston has once again thrived at home this season, going 13-3-3. Montreal is currently 9-7-4 on the road, which is not awful at all. The issue will be a huge factor for Montreal, along with their sluggish attack against Boston's superb defense. Boston ranks fifth in the NHL on defense, allowing only 2.64 goals per game. Montreal ranks 28th in the NHL in terms of offensive production, averaging only 2.7 goals per game. I just don't see how Montreal's attack will be able to compete with this team and their outstanding defense.
