Alcorn St lost to Prairie View last Saturday, and that loss snapped a six-game winning streak for the Braves. Since the All-Star break, the Blueshirts have run hot or cold, leaving backers confused about them. With Boston on home ice for this matinee on ABC, having last played Tuesday to complete a four-game road trip, the B’s are 24-5 SU in their building, the best mark in the NHL, take them on the money line and consider a puck line play depending on how New York has played this week. Take Miami (-5) over Pittsburgh (6 p.m., Saturday, March 4)

I am now 45-25 (64%) with my free plays in this space over the last 70 weeks. Let’s see if we can do it again here in one of the biggest games of the weekend. A caveat of this is that Miami guard Nijel Pack needs to play to bet this one. Be sure to check his status. Miami and Pittsburgh are neck-and-neck for the ACC regular season title. The Hurricanes get the advantage of having this one at home, and I think that they are going to come to play in a big way. Miami’s last game was a shocking loss to rival Florida State last week, a game they lost on a 60-foot heave from Matt Cleveland. I would be worried about the hangover from that game if they had to play earlier in the week. But the Hurricanes have had to sit and stew on that game all week long. They are just going to be pissed. And focused on making up for it while also winning a share of the league title. Not only that, but Miami has revenge for a rough 71-68 loss at Pitt on Jan. 28. The Hurricanes had an eight-point lead with two minutes to play in that game before Pitt closed the game on an 11-0 run. Miami is going to have a monster crowd behind them.
