Free College Football Prediction From Doc's Sports:
Take ‘Over’ 41.5 Minnesota vs. Syracuse (1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 29)
This is the Pinstripe Bowl. Many of the early bowl games have gone under the posted total, but this is one we can attack with the over, like our winner last week in the Armed Forces Bowl. Many of the trends lean towards the under, but this total has been over adjusted and both coaches want to make a statement that they are not inept on offense. Syracuse has gone over the posted total in 5 of their last 7 games played on grass. Do not miss out on Doc’s Sports weekend card featuring our College Bowl Game of the Year! This is one of the most sought out games in the entire country, and you can purchase it right here! Sign-up now and let 51 years of handicapping experience work for you. Free College Football Prediction From Arun Shiva:
Take #260 N.C. State (-1) over Maryland (Noon, Friday, Dec. 30)
Someone will get doused with a vat of mayonnaise on Dec. 30 when No. 23 NC State meets Maryland in the Duke's Mayo Bowl in Charlotte, N.C. The bowl's official Twitter account revealed that both programs' coaches, Dave Doeren of NC State (8-4) and Mike Locksley of Maryland (7-5), have agreed to a "mayo bath" if their side wins. South Carolina coach Shane Beamer set the standard last season when he allowed the condiment to be dumped on him instead of Gatorade after his Gamecocks beat North Carolina 38-21. All this aside, NC State has QB issues right now -- MJ Morris suffered a lower-body injury on Nov. 12 in a 21-20 loss to Boston College. Doeren declined to give an update on Morris' health. Ben Finley would be next in line at quarterback if Morris can't return. "They're both practicing right now," Doeren said. "Excited to have them on the field. They went through practice yesterday and the day before and, you know, I look forward to helping these guys get better." We don't think it matters as NC State will be primed to go here after missing out on a Bowl game last year vs UCLA due to COVID. We don't think the QB will matter and NC State will likely roll as they have the much better defense here. Terrapins are 3-11 ATS in their last 14 games after allowing less than 275 total yards in their previous game. Wolfpack are 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 bowl games. Let's roll with NC State on Friday. Free College Basketball Prediction From Robert Ferringo:
Take St. Louis (-6.5) over St. Joseph’s (1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 31)
I am now 39-23 (64%) with my free plays in this space over the last 62 weeks. This week I’m going with St. Louis and I see a blowout from the Bills here. St. Louis really has been up and down in nonconference play. And I think they hit rock bottom with an absurd loss to SIU-Edwardsville on Dec. 21, blowing a 63-50 lead at home with six minutes to play. This team is better than its record. And better than it has played. And I think that Travis Ford’s squad is going to be motivated for the start of A-10 play. St. Joseph’s stinks. They have exactly one win over a team ranked in the Top 260 and a 17-point home loss to Fairleigh Dickinson. St. Joseph’s is 18-50 SU in its last 68 conference games, and the fact that they are on a 4-0 ATS run has helped keep this number down. St. Louis should come to play and should run away with this one. If you don’t have an account at Doc’s Sports, sign up now and get $60 in free premium member picks click here. Free NFL Football Prediction From Raphael Esparza:
Take #113 Jacksonville (-4.5) over Houston (1 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 1)
Jacksonville is in the playoff hunt and playing some of their best football all season long. The Jaguars have won 3 straight and covered 4 out of their last 5 games, and I see the Texans having no answer for them. I know Houston has covered 3 straight. However, with the Jags fighting for a playoff spot, I see QB Trevor Lawrence having another great game and the Jags win by a touchdown. Free NFL Football Prediction From Jason Sharpe:
Take 'Over' 52.0 Chicago at Detroit (1 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 1)
These two teams faced off earlier this season and they combined to score 61 points at Soldier Field in Chicago and now go head-to-head here on the fast track of Ford Field. No team in the NFL has a bigger offensive home/road differential than the Detroit Lions, who come into this game averaging 13 points more per game scored than they do away from home. In Detroit's 8 home games this season, they average a combined 61 points per game and have gone above the total in 6 of those 8 contests and they've done so by an average of more than 9 points per game. Things have started to click for this Chicago Bears offense as they have gone 'over' the total in 8 of their last 9 games. For as good as the Bears offense has been of late, their defense has been just as bad though after trading away two of their best defensive players in the middle of the season. Chicago comes into one averaging a combined 55 points scored per game in their last 9 games, which is an average of 20 points per game more than they averaged in their first 6 games this season. These two teams are tied for the most 'overs' cashed by a team this season in the NFL, and I expect them to add another one to their resume in this contest. Play 'over' the total in this one. Free NFL Football Prediction From Strike Point Sports:
Take #125 San Francisco (-6) over Las Vegas (4 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 1)
San Francisco is just running roughshod over the entire NFL. Vegas can be a sneaky team, especially at home, but the 49ers aren’t going to let this game slip being just one game behind the Vikings for 2nd place in the NFC. The 49ers have just such a balanced offense so it’s tough to try and take advantage of them in any way. Add to that the fact that they have one of the best defenses in the league, and this is a recipe for disaster for the Raiders. Vegas has been a disappointment this season, and it will continue with a double-digit home loss to the 49ers in this matchup. Free NFL Football Prediction From Allen Eastman:
Take #130 Los Angeles Chargers (-6.5) over Los Angeles Rams (4 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 1)
The Chargers are making a late push for the playoffs. They have won three straight games and they are 4-1 SU in their last five games. This team missed the playoffs on the final day of the season last year. They are working hard to make up for it. The Rams are coming off a blowout 51-14 win over the Broncos. This team had only scored over 20 points in a game one time in their previous eight games! I think they will struggle against a Chargers defense that has allowed an average of just 11.3 points per game over their last three games. The Rams are 1-5 ATS in their last six games after a win and just 2-7 ATS in their last nine games after a win of 14 or more points. The Chargers are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games overall and they are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games in January. Take the Chargers to get a blowout win here.
