Both of these teams are pretty trashy this year, and there’s a very realistic chance that neither one of them will make the NCAA Tournament. However, both teams are going to max out in this game. And I feel like if UNC plays its best game and Duke plays its best game, the Tar Heels are the superior team. The Blue Devils are coming off an ugly loss at Miami, and I don’t think that this team has the size to control the Heels in the paint. Without fans in the stands, Duke does not benefit from its typically massive home court advantage. Throw in the fact that North Carolina has lost three straight in this series – including a blowout loss in Cameron Indoor last March – and I think that the Tar Heels will have a big revenge motivation. The underdog has been the play in this series over the past decade, and I can see Carolina winning this one outright.
