We seen that from this Detroit Lions team last week as they battled back in the 4th quarter to take the lead late only to lose the game with less than a minute left in the contest. On the other side of things this is a veteran Pittsburgh Steelers squad with a proven head coach in Mike Tomlin. I doubt Tomlin cares much about the results in this one and is focusing more on the health of his team. Combine that with the fact the Steelers not only need to win this game here but also they will have to do so by a decent margin as to cash this ticket, This just feels like too many points. Take Arizona Cardinals ‘Under’ 8.5 Wins

There is a lot of hype surrounding the Cardinals this year, but we’re not buying. Arizona made plenty of splashy free agent pickups this offseason. All they did was add a bunch of guys like A.J. Green and J.J. Watt that are several years past their primes. I also think that Kliff Kingsbury is a major weak link in this organization. In eight years of coaching, Kingsbury has just two winning seasons. He went 35-40 as a college coach and is just 13-18-1 as an NFL head coach. He hasn’t proven that he is the one to get this team over the hump. It doesn’t help matters that the Cardinals are playing in the toughest division in the NFL. Seattle, San Francisco and the Los Angeles Rams are all capable of winning 10 or more games this year. Someone is going to have to finish in last place in the West, and our money is on that team being the Cards. Free NFL Prediction From Robert Ferringo:

Take Denver Broncos ‘Over’ 9.0 Wins (-140)

I’m rather bullish on the Broncos this year. I have to say that I liked what I saw from both Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater last week. And as long as they get slightly above replacement level play from that position, this team is going to be in good shape. The AFC West is a bear. But Denver gets to crossover with the losers in the NFC East while also getting games against the Jaguars, Jets and Lions. Toss in games against the Lions and Bengals, and its safe to say that the Broncos will have one of the easier schedules in the NFL. Denver was also -16 in turnover differential last season. If they make a significant jump in that department – which I 100 percent expect – then that will have a major impact on their win-loss record. Denver’s offensive and defensive yards per point are also in perfect regression ranges as well. Throw in some improvements on defense, and getting several key offensive performers back from injury, and I think that Denver has a new lease on life.
