The Dodgers have their first Eastern trip of the season, starting in Atlanta and moving on to Pittsburgh next. Los Angeles is only 14-13 on the road, but they are facing an Atlanta outfit that is hovering around .500 all season to this point. The Braves official starter will be determined later. However, the L.A. scheduled starting pitcher is Julio Urias. The left-hander is off his worst start of 2021, bombed by San Francisco last Saturday for seven runs (six earned) on 11 hits in five innings. Even with that, Urias has a solid 3.61 ERA, a WHIP under 1.00 and he and his team have won eight of his 11 starts. Expect Urias and the Dodgers to be razor sharp Friday night. Take Chicago White Sox (-1.5) over Detroit (8 p.m., Friday, June 4)

It is tough to go against Spencer Turnbull right now. He’s been on fire, allowing just five runs and 16 hits over his last 28 innings in four starts. I think he’s going to have some issues with the White Sox here, though, and Chicago has one of the hottest lineups in the game. Chicago has dominated this series, going 22-6 in their last 28 games against the Tigers, and they are 16-5 in their last 21 home games against Detroit. The Tigers are just 32-86 in their last 118 divisional games and just 28-70 as a road underdog. They have been losing about three of every four games in this role for the past two years. I’m not going to give up on Dallas Keuchel. He normally gets better as the season wears on, and I think he’ll have some success against a Detroit lineup that has the lowest team OPS against left-handed pitching in the league.
