This matchup is featured Sunday afternoon on ABC. Boston’s struggles this season are largely attributed to their inconsistent play on the defensive end of the court, where they are in the lower half of the league in field goal percentage defense. New Orleans is in much the same circumstance, but it is more expected of them, not putting in four quarters of defense on a regular basis. Because the Celtics are not controlling the tempo of games as they had in recent years under coach Brad Stevens, they tend to fall into how opposing teams play. With the Pelicans an offense-first crew, it seems likely this will be a higher scoring affair and I’ll back the OVER.
