Free MLB Prediction From Jason Sharpe:

Take 'Under' 7.5 Milwaukee at Detroit (1 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 9)

I don't play a lot of baseball totals, but this one is just too good to pass up on. The Milwaukee Brewers send Corbin Burnes to the hill for this game. Burnes went back to the Milwaukee starting rotation three weeks ago, and he's been excellent since then. In fact, the hard throwing right-hander is coming off back-to-back 6 inning performances where he posted no earned runs allowed in the two outings combined. Burnes numbers aren't a fluke, either, as his strikeout numbers per 9 innings pitched this season are among the best in all of baseball. He will face a Detroit Tigers offense that is greatly improved this season -- but that's really only come against left-handed pitchers. In fact, the Tigers are actually hitting above .300 so far this year against lefties but against a RHP like Burnes they are around 35 points lower and only 3 points higher than last year's .235 BA versus them. The Tigers will go with starter Matthew Boyd in this game. Boyd got off to a rough start to the year, but he's made some adjustments and is now pitching a lot better of late with a 2.60 ERA in his last three starts. Even more impressive for Boyd is the fact he's posted 20 strikeouts to just 1 walk in those last 3 starts, and since August 17th his K%-BB% is at an eye popping +30% overall, which ranks 7th best in all of MLB during this time. With this being an afternoon getaway game for both teams, look for a faster paced, low scoring affair. Play the 'under' in this one. Arsenal has seen a bit of resurgence after finishing last season in eighth place. They now play a London rival, one they have dominated for quite some time. Two seasons ago, Arsenal beat Fulham 4-1 at home and 5-1 at Fulham, add in a 2-0 and 3-1 wins during the 2013/14 season, and Arsenal have been pretty automatic against Fulham. We rung up a +13,500 soccer profit this summer. We followed that up with a +7,000 NBA run since the restart. And now we’re going to continue my amazing 2020 with an outstanding football season. I have posted four straight overall winning football seasons, and I look forward to making it five in a row. In regards to this game, I think that it will be a bloodbath. Buffalo has a lot of good mojo coming into this season, and the team and its fan base are really excited. And for good reason. Buffalo has made the playoffs two of the last three years, and this year they have their deepest, most experienced, and most talented roster yet. The Bills have a Top 5 defense and should be able to smother an overmatched, undermanned Jets offense. The Bills held the Jets to just 29 points in their two meetings last season, and it will take quite an effort for New York to manage more than 14 points in this game. The Jets defense lost its two best players this offseason, and New York has had issues on the field and off. When I look at these two teams, I just see two organizations going in opposite directions. The Jets are 2-5 ATS on the road and 7-17 ATS as a road dog. They are 3-10 ATS in their last 13 divisional games. Buffalo has been money in Week 1, going 11-4 ATS in their season opener the last 15 years. This has been an underdog series. But I see a rare curb stomping from the favorite here as Buffalo clears out the Jets 27-16. I didn't do many NFL Futures, but in the last couple of weeks, with what has come out of Jaguars camp, how could you not see this total staying 'Under'. The Jaguars have pretty much told us that they are taking this season, and I would be shocked to see them go 5-11. This team and the way their schedule is set up is screaming 4-12 or even 3-13, and we should see their offense struggle week after week. The Jacksonville Jaguars will be one of the worst teams in the NFL.

Take Dallas Cowboys To Win NFC East (-110)

Get signed up for football! I have posted four consecutive overall winning football seasons and I am looking forward to this fall. No one has been better over the last 10 years, as I have banked an outstanding +37,800 in football profit the last 10 years! As for this pick, I absolutely hate to say it: but the Cowboys are going to be pretty damn good this year. I think they are going to runaway with their division and this wager offers more value than their season win total, which is either at 9.5 (-160) or 10.0 (+100). Either way, you have to lay less juice and the Cowboys could win this division while winning just nine games. It’s all about value. The biggest move the Cowboys made this offseason was hiring Mike McCarthy. I actually think that McCarthy was a bit underrated as a head coach in Green Bay. He has a career record of 125-77, a Super Bowl championship, and a host of deep playoff runs. Dallas finally cut bait with Jason Garrett, a proven loser from the rotten Wade Phillips coaching tree. McCarthy has brought in a top-tier coaching staff and I think that we will see a more disciplined Cowboys squad that is better at executing. It is also a tremendous help for the Cowboys that they play in one of the worst divisions in football. The Giants are pathetic and are on their fourth new coaching staff in six years. I think the Redskins are a little undervalued. But they still aren’t very good and certainly aren’t a threat to win the East. So that leaves Philadelphia as Dallas’ primary competition. I’m selling the Eagles this year. They have an old, expensive, overrated, worn out roster. The names look familiar in Philly, but the most of their key players are past their primes. Dallas’ young talent is just entering its prime. The Cowboys have the strength and talent to dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. And as long as their pass defense holds up they could once again post units ranked in the Top 10 in offense and defense like they did last year. The Cowboys lost five games by a touchdown or less last season and they were massive statistical underachievers. I think things will break their way this year and I can see this team winning 10 or 11 games and winning the East by at least two games. Look, I hate the Cowboys as much as anyone! But when I see a chance to make some money I will hop on the bandwagon. Take Dallas to win the East.
