The Detroit Tigers are one of the most improved teams in MLB this season as they hover around the .500 mark overall on the year. This is a baseball team that finished nearly 70 games below the breakeven point in 2019. The Tigers hand the baseball here to starter Spencer Turnbull in this one. The soon to be 28 year-old right-hander is coming off a 5 inning shutout performance in his last start for Detroit and has a quality 2.97 ERA so far on the season. Kevin Kisner will start the Tour Championship at one under after finishing in 21st place; a strong run by Tony Finau on Sunday at the BMW Championship took Kisner out of the Top 20 and a two under start. In his last seven events, he has three Top Fives and has gone as low as 65 to open a tournament twice since the restart. We will take the points in this game, as Texas schools get up when they play one another and I do not see a big time blowout by the Mustangs in a true road game. So, no bet against them is a bad bet at the moment. More than that, they are facing Yu Darvish, who has been absolutely on fire this season. Darvish has won six straight starts while posting a stellar 0.92 ERA. He hasn’t surrendered more than one run in any of those starts and is absolutely dominating right now. Pittsburgh will counter with J.T. Brubaker, and I haven’t been impressed with his work. He’s allowed 23 hits and walks in his last 15 innings, yielding 10 runs (6.00 ERA) during that stretch as a starter. The Cubs have already seen the rookie once this year and they will make adjustments. The Cubs are 12-4 in their last 16 games against the Pirates and they are 9-3 in their last 12 meetings in Pittsburgh. I'm not saying that the Detroit Lions will win the division, but they will not be in the basement of the NFC North. If the Lions can stay healthy, they could be a team that no one in the league will want to play, and I see Matthew Stafford having another big season. Stafford was rolling before he got hurt last year. And if the defense can hold their own, I see the Lions having with 7 wins or even 8 wins. My prediction is that the Chicago Bears will be in the basement and the Lions could again be a big surprise in 2020. Take Dallas Cowboys To Win NFC East (-110)

Get signed up for football! I have posted four consecutive overall winning football seasons and I am looking forward to this fall. No one has been better over the last 10 years, as I have banked an outstanding +37,800 in football profit the last 10 years! As for this pick, I absolutely hate to say it: but the Cowboys are going to be pretty damn good this year. I think they are going to run away with their division, and this wager offers more value than their season win total, which is either at 9.5 (-160) or 10.0 (+100). Either way, you have to lay less juice and the Cowboys could win this division while winning just nine games. It’s all about value. The biggest move the Cowboys made this offseason was hiring Mike McCarthy. I actually think that McCarthy was a bit underrated as a head coach in Green Bay. He has a career record of 125-77, a Super Bowl championship, and a host of deep playoff runs. Dallas finally cut bait with Jason Garrett, a proven loser from the rotten Wade Phillips coaching tree. McCarthy has brought in a top-tier coaching staff, and I think that we will see a more disciplined Cowboys squad that is better at executing. It is also a tremendous help for the Cowboys that they play in one of the worst divisions in football. The Giants are pathetic and are on their fourth new coaching staff in six years. I think the Redskins are a little undervalued. But they still aren’t very good and certainly aren’t a threat to win the East. So that leaves Philadelphia as Dallas’ primary competition. I’m selling the Eagles this year. They have an old, expensive, overrated, worn out roster. The names look familiar in Philly, but the most of their key players are past their primes. Dallas’ young talent is just entering its prime. The Cowboys have the strength and talent to dominate the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. And as long as their pass defense holds up, they could once again post units ranked in the Top 10 in offense and defense like they did last year. The Cowboys lost five games by a touchdown or less last season and they were massive statistical underachievers. I think things will break their way this year and I can see this team winning 10 or 11 games and winning the East by at least two games. Look, I hate the Cowboys as much as anyone! But when I see a chance to make some money I will hop on the bandwagon. Take Dallas to win the East.
