Though this seems to have makings of a real defensive struggle, I’m looking the other direction because of this. The Detroit Lions made a change with their head coach a few weeks back, and they showed some fight early on with interim HC Darrell Bevell running the show. The Lions are now officially out of the playoff hunt after last week's loss to Tennessee, and you have to wonder how much effort and enthusiasm this team had right now. This Detroit team is decimated with injuries, including starting quarterback Matthew Stafford, who I wouldn't be surprised if the Lions decide not to play him in this meaningless contest. The Lions have been hammered in games they have lost this year, losing by an average of 14 points per game in their 9 defeats this season. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been a fairly consistent team this season as they tend to struggle against winning teams while dominating bad teams like Detroit, going 7-1 straight-up against teams with a below .500 record and winning by an average of 13 points per game. Look for the Bucs to wear down the Lions and pull away late. Take Tampa Bay minus the points. Georgia State finished strong as well, but I just do not believe that they have the same talent as does WKU. Arizona has won two games in a row, but they were against NFC East bottom feeders in the Eagles and Giants. They have momentum, but the last time they played a good team they lost to the Rams by 10. The Las Vegas Raiders will be without Derek Carr in this game, but I see Marcus Mariota picking up the offense and putting up some points against the Dolphins 'D'. The Raiders are trending 'Over' games, cashing 3-Straight and 4 out 5, and Saturday night we should see points in this game. The Dolphins scored 22 points against the Patriots defense last week. And with the Dolphins on the road, I see this game going 'Over'. During the last 6 meetings between these two teams, all 6 of them have gone "Over' and the Raiders are 5-1-1 O/U in their last 7 home games. Merry Christmas to all! I am locked and loaded with my football, NBA and college basketball services. With this game, we’re looking to take advantage of the mess of a season that DePaul has had. As of this writing, they still haven’t played a game yet this year! This would be just their second game of the year and it would be their first road game of the season. Insane. Providence has won three in a row and they already have wins over three Top 70 opponents. I think they should be able to handle the Demons here. DePaul still has Charlie Moore. But reports are that two other returning starters, Romeo Weems and Jaylen Butz, are away from the program. That would leave Moore playing with a couple of transfers and a bunch of nobodies. That’s not going to be enough. The Friars are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 games overall and they are 7-2 ATS after a win. I’ll lay out the points here. Take Buffalo (-7) over New England (8 p.m., Monday, Dec. 28)

No one thought at the beginning of the year that the Bills would be big favorites in this game! They have earned this respect. Buffalo came through for another 6-Unit winner for me last week in a blowout win over New England, and I think that they can do it again here. They are the hottest team in the NFL right now and are on a 6-0 ATS winning streak. The Patriots have nothing left to play for. New England is going to miss the playoffs for the first time in over a decade and just the second time in 20 years. I don’t think that they will give a very strong effort here. The Bills won the first meeting 24-21, and they are 3-1 ATS in their last four meetings against the Patriots. Buffalo is 12-5 ATS in its last 17 road games and they are 9-4 ATS as a favorite. The road team is 21-8 ATS in the last 29 meetings and Buffalo is 4-2 ATS in its last six game in New England. Look for another Bills blowout on Monday. Lay the points.
