RAPHAEL ESPARZA continues to carve up the books in college basketball, banking +7,700 the last eight weeks alone. Thursday he has a 6-Unit College Basketball Play and Saturday night he is going with a 6-Unit College Basketball Total. He continues to dominate the NBA season, and Friday he will have a 5-Unit NBA Play. Esparza is on a 27-11, +7,240 run over the last seven weeks. Friday he will also have a 7-Unit NHL Play and last week he hit a 7-Unit Play as he starts to heat up on the ice. Esparza cashed his first XFL 6-Unit Play last Sunday, and so far this XFL season he is undefeated at 5-0, +1,800. Sunday he is releasing his first 7-Unit XFL Play. Esparza has also been on a complete tear in 'Other Sports' and this week he will have plays in golf (7-Unit Play Wednesday), UFC on ESPN+ (7-Unit Play Saturday) and a boxing match on Saturday night (4-Unit Boxing Play). Esparza has gone 23-10, +6,770 with his 'Other Sports' selections and is beating the books wherever he can. Throw in more soccer winners, and more horse racing winners (Saturday Fountain of Youth), and you know the deal: you pick the sport and he picks the winners!

 

STRIKE POINT SPORTS racked up another 7-Unit NBA winner on Monday (Dallas) and that made it seven straight winning pro basketball picks. Take Florida International (+3) over North Texas (7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 27)

We have a big-time contrast in styles in this game. Florida International wants to press, trap and run, playing at one of the Top 30 fastest paces in college basketball. North Texas is the exact opposite. They are a very deliberate team, playing at one of the 10 slowest styles in the country. I think that North Texas will have a little trouble here. They have not been very good on the road in league play. That has been somewhat masked by the fact that they have played six of their last nine games at home over the past month-plus. This team lost at Rice and three of their last five road wins were by five or fewer points. North Texas is also in a bit of a letdown spot here after their huge showdown with Louisiana Tech at home last Saturday. They lost that game, which was for the lead in CUSA, and they could have a bit of a hangover. Also, North Texas has a home date with Western Kentucky - the team they are tied with for second place right now, just one game back of LT - coming up this weekend. So, they could get caught in a letdown/look ahead situation here. Florida International has only lost at home once this year. I think that they will be ready to play spoiler. Free NHL Hockey Prediction From  Indian Cowboy:

Take 'Under' New Jersey vs. San Jose (10:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 27)

Nice winner last week with the L.A. Kings +1.5 as they win outright.  We are rolling with the under in this one. This pick falls into one my top NBA systems and I expect the Lakers to take care of business on the road here Thursday night especially in this prime-time TNT match-up. The Lakers are the number one defensive rebounding team in the NBA and they are also the number one offensive shooting team at 48.7% this season. The Lakers were favored by 14 against Golden State in their last game against them back on February 8 and they came away with just a 5-point victory, so you can expect them to step it up this time around. Golden State has been one of the worst rebounding teams in the NBA this season ranked 28th defensively and 22nd offensively. Golden State has also struggled big time defensively this season with opponents averaging 115.1 points per game against them, which ranks 25th defensively in the NBA. Golden State's opponents have shot 47.6% against them this season, which ranks 28th defensively in the NBA, and they have also shot 38.7% against them from beyond the arc this season, which is the worst defensively in the NBA from protecting the perimeter shot. The good news for North Carolina fans, the basketball season is coming to a close, and that is not something you hear often in Chapel Hill. Despite a down year overall in the ACC, the Tar Heels are buried in last place in the conference at 3-13 (7-9 ATS). Roy Williams' squad had chances in various contests to turn their season around, with the Duke game front and center. But an avalanche of missed free throws ended that thought. It's just not UNC's year. And while Syracuse is nothing special at 15-12 SU and 8-8 in the ACC, the Orange have a good offensive squad and that 2-3 matchup zone can still give the Heels fits. The Orange will leave North Carolina feeling blue, and not Carolina blue.
