Take Denver over Utah (10:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 28)

As per your selection on Denver, we believe they have one of the best home-court advantages in the association as the high altitude affecting opposing teams in a way no other factor can. The Nuggets own a 26-4 record on their home court, and there is no reason to believe they shouldn't add another win to the win column in this game against a Utah team that will be playing the second game of a back-to-back in this spot, after taking on the Clippers the night prior. Utah did beat Denver 114-108 as 4.5-point favorites, but we do not see them getting the win here, or the cover for that matter, against a Nuggets team that is just flat out rolling right now, winners of four straight, possible five after their game against OKC on Feb. 26. Take Florida State (-7.5) over North Carolina State (Noon, Saturday, March 2)

Rare free play miss with Florida State last week. I don't intend for it to happen again. The Seminoles did not play well at home against Notre Dame earlier this week, and they still won by seven points. I think that they can do a lot more against N.C. State in this spot. This one is just a bad matchup for the Wolfpack. N.C. State doesn't start anyone taller than 6-5 and they have just two guys on the roster taller than 6-7. Florida State is massive, with a frontcourt that can run 6-8, 6-10, 7-4 if they need it. The Seminoles' only home loss this year came on a buzzer beater against Duke. Beyond that they have dominated in Tallahassee. The last two years this series has produced two blowouts, with the home team rolling. State won by 20 last year and I think that FSU will want to turn that one around. N.C. State has not been good on the road and they have not been good against the top teams in the ACC. This team was able to pad its numbers against one of the weakest nonconference schedules in the country. But they are coming back to earth in ACC play and I think that they are going to get slapped around here by a bigger, stronger, more experienced Seminoles team that should dominate the paint.
