Eastman is on a +$2,100 college basketball run to go along with a +$9,600 long-term NBA run, and he is looking to beat the books again this week.

RAPHAEL ESPARZA has been on fire with his NHL selections and is 10-2 for +$4,400 in profit with his last 12 picks. Esparza will have a 7-Unit NHL Play on Thursday. He is also cashing college basketball tickets, and Wednesday night he will have a 6-Unit Play. Take Northwestern (+5) over Penn State (6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 1)

I won my free play last week with Rhode Island blowing out Dayton. I expect a similar blowout in this one. I expect another winner here in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament. Northwestern has had a terrible year. They've had to deal with injuries to star players, and they finished the year losing six straight games. This team needs to win two games to be eligible for a postseason tournament since they are not going to the NCAA Tournament this year. Penn State and Northwestern split the regular-season series. The Wildcats proved that they can beat the Nittany Lions, and I think that they can do it again. The Nittany Lions have lost three straight games, so they are not playing much better than Northwestern right now. Since 2010 the Nittany Lions have only won three of 15 Big Ten Tournament games by six points or more. I think that this game is going to be a low-scoring game that will be played in the 50s. I think that Northwestern will win this game or lose it within the number. Take the points. Take Brooklyn over Sacramento (10 p.m., Thursday, March 1)

These are both bad teams. However, the Kings are on a different level of bad and the Nets have at least been respectable and they play hard. In fact, they are in the Top 5 for the season among top ATS teams, and with a losing record that shows that they play hard more often than not and are a bit underestimated by the oddsmakers. They have had a tough schedule lately and things don't get any easier as they travel to the Clippers and Warriors after this game after playing the Cavs on the road, so this may be their best chance for a win for awhile. We think they come to play here. The Kings are in full tank mode, and this team just has no identity or direction. The Nets should be tanking, too, but they don't own their draft pick this year so no reason for them not to play hard.

Take 'Over' Philadelphia at Cleveland (8 p.m., Thursday, March 1)

This pick falls into one of my top NBA systems, and I expect very little defense by either team Thursday night. The Cavaliers have averaged 109.8 ppg this season, which ranks 6th best offensively in the NBA, and they have allowed 109.6 ppg, which ranks as the 4th most ppg allowed in the NBA. The Cavaliers have allowed at least 110 ppg over their last 4 home games before playing Brooklyn Tuesday, and the 76ers have averaged 107.6 ppg this season. The 76ers are the No. 1 offensive rebounding team in the NBA, and they have also allowed more than 108 ppg on the road this season. Take Samford (-1.5) over Chattanooga (7 p.m., Friday, March 2)

We nailed our free pick last week with Utah coming through with ease over UCLA. I think this is another ripe spot from the Southern Conference Tournament. Samford has been a massive disappointment this year. This team won 20 games last season, made the SoCon semifinals, and actually won a postseason tournament game in the CIT last year. They have been a catastrophe this year, going 10-21 and closing the year on a 3-11 league run. However, I think they will be able to squeeze out at least one win in this year's tournament. This team has a wealth of experience, and they are actually one of the better scoring teams in the Southern. They just don't play any defense. But then again, Chattanooga doesn't really do anything right. They aren't any better defensively and they are much worse on the offensive end. Also, they may be without point guard Rodney Chatman, who has missed the last three games. If that is the case then I think this team has no chance. I think Samford will find a way to win this one. Take 'Over' Detroit at Orlando (7 p.m., Friday, March 2)

With a shortened second half of the NBA Season, each game matters and in particular for a Detroit team that is looking to make the playoffs. Detroit is 4 games below .500 heading into Wednesday, and they face a Magic team who they lost to 89-102 last time out. Though that game went to 191 points, look for a much faster-paced game this time around. This team's last road game was one to forget as they lost by 31 points to Toronto and 16 points to Charlotte on the road, and one of the main reasons is that this team simply cannot defend at this point. This team gave up 123 to Toronto, 114 to Charlotte and 110 to Boston. With Orlando having lost 6 in a row and getting excited to play Blake and company at home, look for them to be an active underdog and likely send this game over the posted total. Take Philadelphia over Tampa Bay (1 p.m., Saturday, March 3)
The Philadelphia Flyers are one of the hottest teams in the league, and they're finally starting to get some respect. The Flyers are getting contributions up and down the roster, and different guys are stepping up every night to be the hero. Philadelphia is 10-0-1 in their last 11 games (through Wednesday), and I think they have a decent shot of knocking off the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday. The Bolts made some big trades at the deadline and definitely improved their roster. However, I think it's going to take a little bit of time for the new guys to jell with the others. Tampa might be the team to beat in the NHL come playoff time, but I think they could struggle over the next few games. Take the Flyers in our Saturday Free Play selection. The Tigers definitely have been more beatable the second half of the ACC schedule, and I think this is a game Syracuse steps up and takes. Look for the 2-3 zone to force a lot of outside shots for Clemson.
