ROBERT FERRINGO is unleashing an 8-Unit College Basketball Game of the Year on Wednesday and a 7-Unit College Basketball Play on Saturday to highlight a strong week of picks. I will take the home team in this one. The Utes are 11-2 at home this year and you know they will be up for a game against a big-name team like UCLA. UCLA is coming off a big OT home win over Oregon in its last home game of the year. Now they hit the road for their final three games and the Bruins have been hit or miss away from home this season. It's odd to see this big of a spread between these two teams. They have been at or near the top of the A-10 standings the last several seasons. But Dayton has fallen hard and they are rebuilding this season. They have been bad on the road and are just 3-6 SU in their last nine games overall. The Rams are three games up in the A-10 standings and this Friday night they will have a chance to clinch the No. 1 seed and the regular-season title. The fact that they will be able to do so against a traditional power like the Flyers is a big bonus for the home team. Dayton is just 1-8 ATS in its last nine games overall. Free NBA Basketball Prediction From Indian Cowboy :

Take L.A. Lakers over Dallas (10:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 23)

This team was doing fantastic with the young bloods of Ingram, Randle and Hart and they ruined this chemistry by bringing a guy in Thomas who simply cannot defend and takes jump shots all day long. Having said that, look for Thomas to come off the bench as a reserve for a scoring punch and Luke by no means will look to starting Thomas because his team's chemistry is too important for him. Though Thomas will come in and it will cause all sorts of defensive scheme issues, the fact that the Lakers have gelled is definitely a point of note. The Lakers nearly beat the Timberwolves on the road, had routed OKC 106-81, beat Phoenix 112-93, beat OKC 108-104 on the road, beat Brooklyn 102-99 and played Toronto tough on the road as well. The Mavs already beat this team by 7 points at home, and the Lakers will want revenge at home and though Dallas will likely play coming off a loss to the Kings, we simply like the Lakers to bounce-back at home as they continue to incorporate Thomas (maybe even reduce some minutes) and also step up defensively at home against a Dallas team that continues to be fickle on the road including losing to the Kings in their last game.

The Mountaineers aren't quite as scary as they led opponents to believe the first two months of the season. Take 'Over' Chicago at Columbus (7 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 24)
The Chicago Blackhawks have officially thrown in the towel on the 2017-18 season. They've lost nine of 10 games and have mostly their defense to blame. The loss of Corey Crawford in net has been a bigger factor than most forecasted, and the defensemen are showing their age of late. I expect to see a lot of goals in Hawks games going forward. They still have the stars on offense, and we know the defense is having some major issues right now. The Columbus Blue Jackets have played as an OVER team of late. They recently had a three-game stretch where they fired 50, 51 and 57 shots on goal. The goaltending play of Sergei Bobrovsky has been inconsistent this year. When he's on, he's one of the best. But he's had some really poor efforts of late. All signs point to a high-scoring affair in Saturday's matchup between the Hawks and Jackets. Take 'Over' 2.5 Round (-265) Torres vs. Andrade (9 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 24)

Both female UFC fighters have seen the 3rd round daily in all their fights and Saturday night in Orlando, Florida, this fight goes the distance. Jessica Andrade will look for the takedowns all fight long, and her last 3 fights have gone the distance. Tecia Torres has had six of her last seven UFC fights go the distance, and her striking will be the key, but one bad thing is that Torres doesn't have the quick KO power. Andrade is the heavy favorite in this one, but I do see a close fight, and with a close fight I see this fight going the distance and I say lay the heavy price because this fight will see all 3 rounds.
