Free College Basketball Prediction From Robert Ferringo :

Take Marquette (-1.5) over Kansas State (2:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1)

There is a lot to like with both of these teams. But I think that Marquette is a little more desperate for this win and that they are going to be a little too much for Kansas State on the Golden Eagles home court. This is Kansas State's first true road game of the year, and they weren't exactly great away from home last year. The Wildcats also haven't been tested by anyone this season. They haven't faced a single Top 100 opponent, and their overall strength of schedule is in the 300s. Marquette has had two key nonconference games. They got destroyed at Indiana and then they blew a double-digit first half lead in a loss to Kansas. These guys have been knocking on the door but haven't been able to break through for that win yet. They did beat Louisville, and the fact that the have played three legit teams gives them a bit of an edge over Kansas State. Marquette can be really tough in their home gym, and I think they will be sky high to take on a Top 10 opponent. Give me Marquette for the upset win.

Take #320 Clemson (-27.5) over Pittsburgh (8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1)

We're recommending a play on Clemson minus the points on Saturday. Pitt fell flat on their collective face last week in a 24-3 loss to Miami, ending their 4-game winning streak. The Panthers rank 17th in the nation running the football, but they're pathetic through the air. And like last week against Miami, they'll be no match for Clemson's ultra-quick defense. The Tiger stop unit has to be chomping at the bit to face such a one-dimensional offense. Clemson HC Dabo Swiney also has some ammo for this one, keeping his team focused simply by reminding them of their loss to Pitt the last time the teams met in 2016. Clemson lost 43-42 despite racking up 630 total yards. Clemson has put up huge numbers all season on offense while sporting one of the stingiest defenses in college football. They'll be too strong for Pitt on both sides of the line of scrimmage. And just one win away from another playoff berth, we expect a focused effort throughout. The favorite is 5-0 ATS in the last 5 games played between these two teams, and the Jets are just 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games. The Titans have allowed 17.7 ppg at home this season, and the Jets have averaged just 9.7 ppg over their last 3 games while allowing 27 ppg. The Jets lack of offensive production will hurt them on the road Sunday as I have the Titans winning by 14+ points.
