The Mavericks have been an under team as well in the spot they are in here on Wednesday as they have gone under the number in seven of their last eight games following an ATS win and they are a perfect 5-0 to the under in their last five games against a team from the East. The Mavs are also a lights out 9-4 to the under when facing a team with a losing record and they are 20-8 to the under in their last 28 following a straight up win. Throw in the fact that these two teams have gone 8-3 to the under in their last 11 head-to-head meetings at the AAC and that's where we'll have our play as we expect both teams to struggle on the offensive end in Dallas on Wednesday night. Free College Basketball Prediction From Robert Ferringo :
Take Marshall (-11) over Southern Mississippi (8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 2)
We hit with Marshall last week. Let's go to the well until the well is dry. Marshall is coming off its worst game of the year, a pathetic 23-point loss as a 13-point favorite against UTEP last Saturday. This Marshall team had been showing some serious signs of life in the CUSA race before that came crashing down on them. However, I think the Thundering Herd will be able to rebound here against lowly Southern Miss. Marshall has had some moments on the road this year, including near-misses against Cincinnati and Pitt as well as easy double-digit league wins against FAU and FIU. They should be able to do the same against Southern Miss. The Golden Eagles are No. 347 in the country in scoring, No. 339 in shooting (they make just 39.1 percent of their shots), and No. 343 in 3-point shooting (28.8 percent as a team). Quite simply, this team can't score enough to keep up with Marshall's high-octane offense. And it is not as if Southern Miss is some slow-down, solid defensive grinder. They play at a pretty medium tempo, and their defense doesn't rank higher than No. 161 in any major category. Marshall is a solid 8-3 ATS in its last 11 games, and they've only lost back-to-back games at the window one time all year. I think they will overpower the Golden Eagles here.

Take Houston over Chicago (8 p.m., Friday, Feb. 3)
This pick falls into one of my top NBA systems and I have the Rockets winning big at home Friday night. The Rockets are the second highest scoring team in the NBA, averaging 114.3 ppg this season, while shooting 48.6% as a team, which ranks 5th in the NBA. The Rockets are the 8th best defensive rebounding team in the NBA and now face a Bulls team averaging the 23rd most ppg in the NBA at 101.6. The Bulls are one of the worst shooting teams in the NBA, knocking down just 43.6% as a team, which ranks 29th, and now they face the No. 2 offensive team in the NBA on the road. The Bulls have averaged just 99.9 ppg on the road this season and that won't help matters against a Rockets team averaging 115.3 ppg at home. Maryland has gotten off to a tremendous start at 19-2, far greater than perhaps most had forecasted for the Terps. But I don't like this match-up for them, even at home in College Park. Maryland may have point guard Melo Trimble, but there won't be an answer for the Boilermakers' Caleb Swanigan and his dominant interior play. He is averaging 18 points and 12 rebounds per game, and this talented sophomore is arguably the most dominant big man in the country. Take 'Over' 5.5 Chicago at Dallas (8 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 4)
The Chicago Blackhawks and Dallas Stars hook up on Saturday night in what figures to be a high-scoring affair. These two clubs have played some absolute shootouts over the years, and this one shouldn't be any different. Dallas has had major issues on the defensive end of late, and their pair of goaltenders certainly is helping them out any. Their strengths clearly reside on the offensive side as they look to score first and take some chances that put them in precarious spots at times. The Hawks have some of the best offensive weapons in the league, and they won't mind getting into an up-and-down kind of game. Goaltender Corey Crawford is having a really nice season overall, but lately he's given up some bad goals and his numbers are tailing off. Matt Ryan Total Rushing Yards: 'Over' 7.5 (-120)
I am excited about this Super Bowl matchup and I am looking forward ending the season with a big winner. I will have a 6-Unit NFL Play in the big game and two strong prop bets.
