Free College Basketball Prediction From Robert Ferringo :
Take St. John's (-6.5) over Oregon State (2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 23)
Last week we scored a winner with Northern Kentucky and right now I am red hot in college hoops. I have posted SEVEN straight winning nights on the college hardwood and I am up +$4,600 during that run. I don't plan on slowing down, and this Thursday is going to be a huge college basketball day for me with at least one 7-Unit Play and possibly more. Put this game on your radar. I am giving up on Oregon State. This is a team that I thought would be vastly improved this season. But to this point they have looked feeble. St. John's, on the other hand, is a team that I thought would be much better and they are. The Red Storm have a killer backcourt with Shamorie Ponds and Marcus LoVett, and right now they have four guys on the perimeter averaging at least 10 points per game. St. John's speed and their aggressiveness on the perimeter is really going to bother Oregon State, which is more of a post-based team. St. John's already took one scalp from a major conference, hammering Nebraska by 23. Last year Mississippi State beat Ole Miss 55-20, and this year I see the same type of game being played. Ole Miss has been trending 'Over' games as of late, going 7-1 O/U in their last 8 games. The Bulldogs get this matchup at home for this rivalry game, and Mississippi State at home is averaging 35 ppg and Thursday night I see both teams being able to score and push this total over. Ole Miss is 8-0-1 O/U following a SU loss and the Rebels are 8-1 O/U in their last 9 conference games. Mississippi State is 6-1 O/U following a ATS loss, and I know in this series the UNDER has been really good but poor defenses from both will push this game over. Take 'Over' 61.5 Western Michigan at Toledo (11:30 a.m., Friday, Nov. 24)
This game is going to be a shootout, and we wouldn't be surprised to see both teams hit for 40+ points. Western Michigan has struggled a bit defensively lately, and that was evident in their last game when they gave up nearly 250 rushing yards to Northern Illinois. The Toledo offense, lead by quarterback Logan Woodside, is going to move the ball all day long against Western Michigan. Look for WMU to keep pace somewhat in this game, but in the end Toledo's offense will be too much, causing this game to go over the posted total. The 'over' is 7-2 in the last nine WMU games, and 7-2 in their last nine games on field turf. For Toledo the 'over' is 5-1 in their last six games overall and 7-1 in their last eight Friday games. Take Toledo (-14) over Western Michigan (11:30 a.m., Friday, Nov. 24)
We go for eight straight Newsletter Free Pick winners in a row today as we like Toledo to get it done over Western Michigan. Note that Toledo was routed by Western Michigan last year by a score of 55-35, and they will remember that as they face them this week. This is a Western Michigan team that lost a very close game to Northern Illinois 31-35 and covered as a 8.5-point dog in their last game, but they might be hungover from that loss. Toledo has revenge, sits at an impressive 9-2, has the 7th best offense in America and a respectable top 45 passing defense. Toledo just dropped 66 points on Bowling Green and is the same team that put up 30 points against Miami earlier this year. Look for Toledo to do well with revenge in mind and stay focused as a win here could be a significantly better bowl game as they get to the 10-win mark.

Take Orlando over Boston (7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 24)
Boston is clearly one of the best teams in basketball and one of the best teams in the east. But they can't win every game this season and they definitely won't cover every one, especially with their recent lines going sky high. As of this writing they almost failed to cover their last two games as they needed OT to get by Dallas and they had a late surge to beat the Hawks who hung with them most of the night. We expect a real big number here. Orlando is a decent squad this season and they are finally getting healthy. They are 5-3 ATS on the road this season and this team is normally undervalued on the road where they usually get big points. Actually this team is 4-1 ATS when getting five or more points this season and they are 5-3-1 ATS on the road. We think that the Thanksgiving holiday might be a distraction to the Celtics and they could come into this one unfocused and the young guys on the Magic will definitely want to play well here. We think that they can keep this one within double digits.

Take 'Over' 68.0 Louisville vs. Kentucky (Noon, Saturday, Nov. 25)
Two teams that have been trending to the over will meet when the Louisville Cardinals hit the road to take on the Kentucky Wildcats at Kroger Field in Lexington, KY, on Saturday afternoon. The Cardinals have posted a 9-4 record to the over in their last thirteen road games and they have gone an excellent 13-6 to the over in their last nineteen games following a straight up win. The Wildcats have been an over team as well in the spot they are in here on Saturday as they have gone up and over the number in four of their last five home games and they have that same 4-1 record to the over in their last five games following a straight up loss. They have also gone up and over the total in each of their last four games overall and they are an impressive 8-2 to the over in their last ten games following a game where they allowed 40 points or more. Take #202 Fresno State (+7) over Boise State (3:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 25)
It is hard to gauge the motivation for both teams since this will be the first of two meetings in consecutive weeks between Boise State and Fresno State. Fresno State has been the surprise team in the conference this year as nobody expected them to be bowl eligible let along beat San Diego State to win the West Division. We will gladly grab the points in this match-up as I believe this game just means more to Fresno State. Boise State will not be making a New Year's Six Bowl as that spot will go to the American Athletic Conference winner, and thus the best they can hope for is a trip to the Las Vegas Bowl. The Monarchs have had a pretty good start to the year at 4-1, including some quality wins. ODU predicates their game on defense and was never really considered a massive scoring team. This pick falls into one of my top NFL systems, and the Vikings are hands down the superior overall team at this point in the season. The Bears basically handed Detroit the game last Sunday as the Bears should have won by 7 points if it was not for mental mistakes and dropped balls that should have been caught. The Vikings, meanwhile, put away one of the best offensive teams in the NFL with a 24-7 rout over the Rams. I fully expect the Vikings defense to step up again on the road against the Lions this week, and the Vikings are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games after putting up more than 150 rushing yards in their previous game. The Vikings are perhaps one of the hottest teams in the NFL with them firing on all cylinders on both sides of the ball, and they are also 21-7 ATS in their last 28 games after a win. The Lions are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games and just 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games when playing a team with a winning record. The Vikings also have the revenge factor after losing at home to the Lions 14-7 earlier this season because of 3 fumbles. There is not a lot to like about the Dolphins right now. But they will play harder with Matt Moore at quarterback. I think the Patriots will get another easy win. But it won't be a blowout. Take 'Under' 5.5 Chicago at Florida (7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 25)
The Chicago Blackhawks are off to a sluggish start to the season. They made some big moves in the offseason and it certainly has affected the chemistry early on. While the offense has struggled quite a bit, the defense has been the one constant that has carried over from prior years. Corey Crawford is still one of the best in the net, and Chicago still has some big time blueliners, including Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook. On Saturday they get the Panthers in Florida. Panthers have been playing to the UNDER of late, with six of the last seven going UNDER the total. They've had trouble consistently putting the puck in the net this season. I don't expect too many quality scoring chances in this matchup, so take the UNDER in our Saturday Free Play selection.
