Take Utah over LA Clippers (10:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 30)
The Clippers are in real trouble. Now that Blake Griffin is out a couple
months with an ankle injury they are now down another starter after two
other starters are out injured. Griffin was basically carrying the team up
to this point and they don't have a lot to get excited about now that he is
out of the lineup. DeAndre Jordan is a nice complimentary piece but he's
not the type of player that will put his team on his back and wins games by
himself. This looked like a lost season even with Griffin in the lineup but
now with him out two months or more this team might be looking at a high
draft pick in the offseason. The Jazz have won three of four as of this
writing and they are starting to play very well. This team already had the
Clippers number even with a complete roster but we expect this one to be
all Jazz on Thursday night. The Clippers will be given too much credit by
the oddsmakers because of two nights rest and home court, but we think the
Jazz are the clear play here.

Take Northwestern (-8.5) over Illinois (9 p.m., Friday, Dec. 1)
I've gotten off to an outstanding college basketball start and am currently
on a +$5,940 run on the hardwood. In fact, going back to last February my
college hoops clients have banked an outstanding +$13,300 - by far the most
in the country! I am also over +$65,000 in my career in nonconference
handicapping, and I am looking to keep the pedal to the metal this weekend.
As for this free play, I think this number is going to appear a little
larger than it should be for this Chicago throw down. However, I think
Northwestern is poised for a big effort in this one. Illinois will be
playing just its second road game of the season here. And, as of Tuesday,
they are about as soft of a 6-0 as you could possibly be. The Illini have
played one of the weakest schedules in the entire country, and they haven't
been exposed yet. But this isn't a good team at all. Leron Black and
Michael Finke are solid post options. But their guard play is suspect, and
they are still getting used to coach Brad Underwood's up-tempo style.
Northwestern has a load of experience. And even though they aren't playing
on campus, I still expect them to have a nice home-court advantage in this
one. The Illini actually swept the Wildcats last season, and I think
Northwestern is going to be keen on getting some payback. Look for a

Two teams that have been trending to the over will meet when the
Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks hit the road to take on the Florida State
Seminoles at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee. FL, on Saturday
afternoon in a game that was rescheduled to this weekend due to one of the
hurricanes in September. The Warhawks have posted a 9-1 record to the over
in their last 10 games following a game where they failed to cover the
spread and they are an excellent 9-2 to the over in their last 11 road
games. They have also gone 4-1 to the over in their last five games
following a straight up loss, and they have that same 4-1 record to the
over following a game where they scored 40 points or more. As for the
Seminoles, they have been an over team as well in the spot they are in here
on Saturday as they have gone up and over the number in four of their last
five following a straight up win and they are 6-2 to the over in their last
eight nonconference games. Throw in the fact that FSU is 4-1 to the over
when facing a team with a losing record while ULM is an impressive 13-3 to
the over in that same spot and that's where we'll have our play as we
expect both teams to get up and down the field a bit in Tallahassee on

This Akron team really doesn't have the make-up of a Zips team that
dominated the MAC the better part of the last decade. If anything, Akron is

Phoenix Suns circa 2010. The Herd run and gun with the best of them in
College Basketball, despite their defensive struggles. I think this game is
a good one for them at home in Huntington. Marshall will want the score in
the 80s or 90s, and Akron doesn't have the players to comfortably play at
that pace. This one goes the way of the home team. Lay the number and back

We used Fresno State as our free play last week facing Boise State, and we
will do so again as these teams battle for a second straight week. The MWC
rigged the location site of this game to sell more tickets, and thus this
game is being played in Boise instead of Fresno. That being said, you just
cannot trust Boise State anymore. Their slim chances of a New Year's Six
Bowl Game went out the window by losing last week, and I just do not know
how motivated the players are to win the conference championship and
receive a bowl bid to Las Vegas. Fresno State is one of the most improved
teams in the country, and they want to win the MWC. I do not believe they
will get run off the field in this championship game. Do not miss Doc's

Take 'Under' 5.5 Anaheim at Nashville (8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 2)
The Anaheim Ducks have suffered some big injuries in the early going, and
it has taken its toll on the team. It's been particularly painful on the
offensive end, where the Ducks rank 27th in the league in goals
per game. Missing Ryan Getzlaf, Ryan Kesler and Rickard Rakell will do that
to you. Anaheim has been forced to play a different style, and that's led
to more UNDERS than OVERS in their recent games. They match with Nashville
on Saturday night. The only way the Ducks can stay in this contest is if
they slow it down once again, so I don't expect a lot of premium scoring
chances in this one. We're looking for a 3-1 or 3-2 type of game, so play

Stafford hurt his ankle late in the last Lions last game. He will likely
play in this one, but his mobility will likely be limited. Stafford's
strength is being able to throw on the run, and he's likely going to need
to move around a bit here facing what should be a heavy pass rush from a
very good Baltimore defense. The Ravens hold one of the better home-field
advantages in the NFL, and they come in playing their best football of the
season right now having won back-to-back games and 3 of their last 4. Take
Baltimore and lay the points in this one.

Take 'Over' 42.5 New York Giants at Oakland (4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 2)
The NFL 411 System has been on fire! I have gone 9-1 with my last 10 NFL

their last two road games, against a 76ers team who averages 108.6 ppg this
season, and a Pistons team who averages 104.5 ppg this season. Now the Cavs
face a Hawks team that has averaged just 102.2 ppg this season, so you can
expect another strong defensive effort from the Cavaliers Thursday night.
The Cavs have averaged 110.9 ppg this season, which is the 3rd highest ppg
in the NBA, and the way they have picked it up defensively makes them one
