For Toronto, Marcus Stroman has been dominating since his turn at the World Baseball Classic this spring. He has just a 3.33 ERA this season. However, he has six quality starts in his eight total outings. Like Teheran, if you kick out those two bad starts against the Red Sox and Yankees then Stroman has just a 1.64 ERA this season. He should dominate the Braves, who have been shaky on offense. Will Always Dreaming win the Triple Crown? Bet 'NO' (-500)
I know the 'NO' is -500, but this number should be higher, like around -800. Always Dreaming will have a tough run this Saturday at Preakness in Baltimore, and even if Always Dreaming wins the Preakness there is no chance of grabbing the Triple Crown at the Belmont Stakes. The Belmont stretch is brutal, and I believe you have to have a special horse to win all three mega races, and no disregard to 'Always Dreaming' but I'm sorry you are not American Pharaoh, Affirmed, Seattle Slew, and not even close to Secretariat. Take Boston (-150) over Oakland (10 p.m., Thursday, May 18)
I have been red hot in both baseball and basketball and I have posted over +$12,000 in profit in these two sports combined. Take 'Under' 8.0 San Francisco at St. Louis (4 p.m., Saturday, May 20)
The San Francisco Giants are dead last in the National League in runs scored. They'll eventually get it going, but right now they are relying on their pitching staff to keep them in ball games. The St. Louis Cardinals aren't a ton better, ranking ninth in the NL in offensive production. That sets up well for Saturday's scheduled starters Jeff Samardzija and Michael Wacha. Both starting pitchers have the stuff to dominate, and I don't see either one getting touched up here by the struggling offenses. Take the UNDER as our Free Play selection for Saturday.
