Take ‘Over’ 7.5 Texas at Tampa Bay (7 p.m., Friday, July 21)
No one in the country has been better in Major League Baseball over the last few months. I have more than doubled my clients’ bankrolls in the last three months, raking in over +$10,000 in profit. I am currently on a 19-5 MLB run and I am going to keep it rolling with more this weekend. I like the ‘over’ in the opener of this weekend series because, frankly, it doesn’t make a ton of sense. The Rangers haven’t been hitting the ball at all. Tampa Bay doesn’t have a big offense. But I just think that the public is going to get burned wit this one. The ‘over’ is 11-3 in Tampa Bay’s last 14 games after an off day and the ‘over’ is 21-9 in the Rays’ last 29 games overall. Tampa Bay has played ‘over’ in 11 straight home games and Alex Cobb, who can be inconsistent, is kind of due for a dud start. The same goes for Yu Darvish. Both starters are capable of dominating and both have been very consistent. Take ‘Under’ St. Louis at Chicago Cubs (1 p.m., Saturday, July 22)
The Chicago Cubs made an aggressive move in acquiring Jose Quintana a few weeks before the trade deadline, and it started paying dividends immediately. Quintana dominated the Orioles lineup in his Cubs debut with seven scoreless innings to go along with 12 strikeouts and no walks. National League hitters haven’t seen much of Quintana and that should work to his advantage the first time teams see him. The Cardinals’ Adam Wainwright hasn’t been good this season but he’s been much better of late. The Cubs have several hitters struggling, so I don’t expect to see an explosion on Saturday. Tampa Bay is right in the mix of the American League East and Wild Card races so it will only help to have Chris Archer pitching. Archer is 3-2 with a 3.70 ERA at home this season and he has had 25 strikeouts over his last three starts. He allowed four earned runs over 7 innings in a no decision against the Rangers earlier in the year, a game Tampa ended up winning 7-5. Texas will send out Andrew Cashner who hasn't been nearly as effective on the road as he has been at home. He owns a 2-5 record with a 4.37 ERA away from Arlington this year and I think the Rays will get the job done at home in this contest as they continue to push for the playoffs. Take Chicago Cubs (Series Price) over St. Louis (Friday-Sunday)
Most offshore books carry this betting prop and highly recommend finding this MLB prop this weekend. The Chicago Cubs made the first big trade splash and for what I have seen since the All-Star break is that maybe the Cubs bats and pitching is finally on the same page. Cubs this weekend against the hated St. Louis Cardinals will have Jake Arrieta on Friday, newly acquired Jose Quintana on Saturday, and Sunday Jon Lester will look for some home redemption. The Cardinals have had trouble with injuries and winning games on the road and if the Cardinals pitching staff struggle this weekend we could easily see the Cubs bring out the broom Sunday night.
