Nascar Provides Great Betting Options
by Trevor Whenham - 05/31/2006
Do you bet on Nascar? Why not? The Nextel circuit is almost halfway through the Race to the Chase (26 races that determine the 10 drivers who get to take a shot at the championship), so the contenders have been identified and the pretenders know who they are. They run almost every week, so there are plenty of opportunities to bet, and enough consistency to make some money. If you're not into Nascar (and you should be), here's a look at the 12 drivers in the strongest position to grab a coveted spot in the Top Ten:

It's almost the Memorial Day weekend, which means that it's almost time for the Indianapolis 500. The incredibly confusing qualifying process is over and 33 drivers have earned the privilege of competing in the 90th edition of 'The Greatest Spectacle in Racing'. By late on the afternoon of May 28, one of those drivers will be drinking the best bottle of milk they have ever tasted.

Most Memorable Daytona 500 Moments
by Robert Ferringo - 02/17/2006
The Daytona 500 is an annual orgy of speed and violence that has earned the moniker of "The Great American Race". I mean, what is more American than a beach party for over a quarter of a million people, with everyone drunk on cheap beer and energy, lustily cheering a few dozen velocity-wielding adrenaline junkies that attempt to defy death?

Daytona 500 Speedway - A Sight To Behold
by Robert Ferringo - 02/16/2006
My sophomore year of college some friends and I went to Daytona Beach, Florida for Spring Break. Naturally, we got lost. After about 30 minutes of "just follow this road and hope for the best" we came across one of the most massive, dominating structures I'd ever seen. It was the Daytona International Speedway.

2006 Daytona 500 Odds and Advice
by Robert Ferringo - 02/16/2006
Imagine the World Series in April. Or the NCAA Tournament in November. It's counterintuitive for a sport to hold its signature event at the beginning of the season. But that's what makes NASCAR so unique.

NASCAR - Pennsylvania 500 Odds and Picks
by Jason Ferris - 07/21/2005
Here we are again in my old stomping grounds. This week's race is one of my favorite for betting. The gap between the two Pocono races is only six weeks. That is the shortest time between two races at the same track in NASCAR. Inevitable that means drivers haven't had time to destroy the cars that they had here last time. Look for a lot of repeat performances.

NASCAR - USG Sheetrock 400 Review and New England 300 Preview
by Jason Ferris - 07/14/2005
New England is a track much like Chicagoland. These two tracks are often compared to each other because they are both relatively new and it is incredibly difficult to pass. Well, where Chicagoland hasn't changed, New England has. A newly paved track allows for a faster track with two grooves, where there used to be only one. This should open the track up, but I still do not expect great leaps and bounds, unless it is a great drive (see Stewart last week).

NASCAR - USG Sheetrock 400 Preview
by Jason Ferris - 07/08/2005
Sorry to start the preview off with a rant, but here we go again with the ridiculous naming of races. I would personally like to see how many people decide to purchase USG Sheetrock after the race. I know I'll be driving my GM Chevrolet to my local Lowe's to buy USG Sheetrock with my AMEX while drinking a Coke (If the drivers can get paid to mention the sponsors, why cant I?).
