2006 Kentucky Derby Post Positions Are Set, Let the Derby Begin

The pageantry of Kentucky Derby week officially began Wednesday afternoon with the post position draw. In recent years this has turned into a real event as owners and trainers try to pick the best position available for their horse. This year the draw was moved to downtown Louisville so a crowd could enjoy it. Any excuse for a party at Derby time.

This past Saturday I was at the Aladdin to watch the fight card they had by Top Rank. From some of the reports of the fights I have read, I have to say that they were pretty inaccurate as to what actually happened. I read some report that had said some fights were landslides, another fight was an easy win; but I don't think so.
