In the money: A horse that finishes first, second or third.
Irons: Metal D-shaped rings into which a jockey places his/her feet that can be raised or lowered depending on the rider's preference.
Isolation barn: Facility used to separate sick horses from healthy ones.
ITW: Intertrack wagering.
