Dominic Thiem vs Matteo Berrettini Picks, Predictions ATP Nitto Finals Odds 11/14/2019
by Guy Bruhn - 11/13/2019
This is a meaningless game in terms of the general classification of Group B in the ATP Nitto Finals tournament. Dominic Thiem has already secured himself a first place and a spot in the semifinals by winning the first two matches. He was outstanding so far. He defeated two legends - Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. Yesterday's match against Novak was probably one of the most exciting this year. Thiem came out on top after three grueling sets.
Frances Tiafoe vs Jannik Sinner Picks, Predictions Next Gen ATP Finals Odds 11/5/2019
by Guy Bruhn - 11/4/2019
Next Gen ATP Finals. It's a fairly new competition, that was established in 2017 and features eight under-21 players with the best season behind them. It's held in Milano, Italy with a $1.4m prize pool and is also very interesting because it's played under a different set of rules, compared to those in the regular season. Matches are best of 5 sets, but sets are shorter.
Kyle Edmund vs Diego Schwartzman Picks, Predictions ATP Paris Odds 10/30/2019
by Guy Bruhn - 10/29/2019
Kyle Edmund entered this tournament with 8 losses in a row. He hasn't won since 1st round of Montreal when he defeated Nick Kyrgios. That was almost 3 months ago from now! He touched rock bottom earlier this month in Antwerp, where he was defending the title from last year. He failed to defend any of those points by losing in 1st round of qualifying against Norbert Gombos. 116th player in the world.
Roberto Bautista Agut vs Alex De Minaur Picks, Predictions ATP Paris Odds 10/30/2019
by Josh Schonwald - 10/29/2019
It is a very important match for Roberto Bautista Agut. It is the last chance to somehow get himself into the ATP Finals in London. Right now, he is in 9th place with 2530 points, while Berrettini is occupying the 8th place with 130 points more. Few other players are in the hunt as well. David Goffin, Gael Monfils, Fabio Fognini and Diego Schwartzman still have mathematical chances and are hoping for a miracle in Paris.
Matteo Berrettini vs Andrey Rublev Picks, Predictions ATP Vienna Odds 10/22/2019
by Josh Schonwald - 10/24/2019
Although Berrettini had two very close matches so far, he still looked very good on the court. We have to take into account that he didn't have the easiest draw. Kyle Edmund was struggling lately, but he is always an extremely dangerous opponent, whenever he can find some rhythm. He managed to do that in the first round, playing very aggressive tennis from behind the baseline and putting Matteo under a lot of pressure.
Henri Laaksonen vs Jan-Lennard Struff Picks, Predictions ATP Basel Odds 10/23/2019
by Guy Bruhn - 10/22/2019
ATP tournament being held in your home country is a great opportunity for lower-ranked players to get a wildcard and an opportunity to win some significant ranking points, accompanied by substantial prize money. Henri Laaksonen didn't do very well at taking advantage of this opportunity in the past. He was 1-6 in Basel prior to 2019, with his only win achieved last year over Marco Cecchinato in the first round.
Hyeon Chung vs Milos Raonic Predictions, Picks ATP Vienna Odds 10/22/2019
by Tony Sink - 10/21/2019
In this match, we will see two players that will try to salvage their seasons after missing huge chunks of it because of the injuries. Hyeon Chung had a very slow start into the season, winning only 1 out of his first 5 matches. It was obvious that something is not quite right and it turned out that he was bothered by a back injury, that eventually forced him to skip a big part of the season. He was out for more than 5 months.
Christian Garin vs Reilly Opelka Picks, Predictions ATP Basel Odds 10/22/2019
by Josh Schonwald - 10/21/2019
Both of these two players came to Basel with a first-round loss from last week. Garin participated at VTB Kremlin Cup in Moscow, where he lost to Andreas Seppi after three very close sets. He was a set up. but lost both second and the third in a tie-break. His current form is not all that much to talk about. But he is having a very solid season so far with 28-21 record and 2 titles. Both on clay courts in Munich and Houston respectively.
Elias Ymer vs Yuichi Sugita Picks, Predictions ATP Stockholm Odds 10/15/2019
by Josh Schonwald - 10/14/2019
Only a couple of years ago, Elias Ymer was considered as one of the brightest prospects that European tennis has to offer. He is already 23 right now and we haven't seen the expected breakthrough, because he's still competing on the challenger tour for most of the time. Part of the problem was that he wasn't able to develop into an all-court player and is still more of a clay-court specialist.
Fabio Fognini vs Karen Khachanov Picks, Predictions ATP Shanghai Odds 10/10/2019
by Guy Bruhn - 10/9/2019
Fabio Fognini went through a rollercoaster in his previous match. He won the first set, but then allowed Andy Murray to take control over the match. Former world No.1 took advantage of that and got himself into a position to close out the match with his serve. Not only once, but twice! Fognini showed his resilience and broke Murray's serve both times and then completely dominated the tie-breaker in the final set.
Joao Sousa vs Vasek Pospisil ATP Shanghai Picks 10/8/2019
by Tony Sink - 10/7/2019
Joao Sousa is playing some very solid tennis lately. It started in St Petersburg a couple of weeks ago when he got all the way to the semifinals, where he lost to Borna Coric in a grueling three-set match. After a long week in Russia, he had to get to China and play in different time zone and different playing conditions in Chengdu.
Albert Ramos vs Roger Federer ATP Shanghai Picks 10/8/2019
by Josh Schonwald - 10/7/2019
Albert Ramos is exceeding expectations on this Asian hard-court swing. A couple of weeks ago, he got into the semifinals of the tournament in Zhuhai, after eliminating some really good players in the process. He defeated Yoshito Nishioka, Gael Monfils, and Miomir Kecmanovic without giving away a set, before losing to Mannarino. In the first round of Shanghai yesterday, he won vs Marin Cilic pretty easily.
Denis Shapovalov vs Miomir Kecmanovic ATP Tokyo Picks 10/1/2019
by Tony Sink - 9/30/2019
A very interesting matchup in the first round of ATP 500 tournament in Tokyo. These two players were active last week to start the Asian swing and I must say that both played pretty well. Denis Shapovalov was in Chengdu, where he was eliminated in the semifinals by Pablo Carreno Busta who won the entire thing in the end.
Dominic Thiem vs Richard Gasquet ATP Tokyo Picks 10/1/2019
by Josh Schonwald - 9/30/2019
Don't think either of these two players fell in love with the Beijing draw when it first came out. Especially Dominic Thiem. As No.1 seed, he probably hoped for an easier opponent and everybody knows, he really needs it right now. I'm saying that because his non-clay record this year is not up to his standards. He won 9 out of 15 matches and struggling badly since winning that clay title in Kitzbuhel. After that, he had few ugly losses, like the one to Fabbiano in the first round of the US Open.
Dusan Lajovic vs Lloyd George Harris ATP Chengdu Picks 9/26/2019
by Josh Schonwald - 9/25/2019
After a lot of problems with rain on Monday in Chengdu, they somehow managed to execute most of the schedule. Dusan Lajovic was one of the players that were bothered the most by the constant rain delays. Him and his opponent started their match at 11 am local time, but finished it 7 hours later after numerous rain delays. Staying focused and physically ready in those types of situations is not easy and it affected the quality of the tennis in that match.
Alexander Bublik vs Jordan Thompson ATP Chengdu Picks 9/26/2019
by Tony Sink - 9/25/2019
Bublik was part of the best match in the tournament so far. Himself and Taylor Harry Fritz played an exciting three-set match, where a couple of points decided the winner in the end. We were able to see a lot of great shots from both players, and a ton of skill at the net, especially from Bublik. You never know what you'll get from this guy. He can either look completely lackadaisical and doesn't show any effort to win the match.
Miomir Kecmanovic vs Albert Ramos ATP Zhuhai Picks 9/25/2019
by Tony Sink - 9/24/2019
This is Kecmanovic's first real season on the main tour and he is already having a lot of success. He is holding a winning record (20-15) at the moment and has reached his first ATP finals a couple of months ago in Antalya. He is proving week after week that he is one of the most talented players right now and is one to look out for in the future.
Nick Kyrgios vs Andreas Seppi ATP Zhuhai Picks 9/25/2019
by Guy Bruhn - 9/24/2019
After a disappointing 3rd round exit at the US Open, Nick Kyrgios decided to participate in an exhibition event called Laver Cup last week. It is a 3-day team event held in Switzerland, featuring Team Europe vs Team World. Big names such as Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal were also there, helping Team Europe to win the event in the end.
Tennys Sandgren vs Andy Murray ATP Zhuhai Picks 9/24/2019
by Josh Schonwald - 9/23/2019
Andy Murray's matches draw a lot of attention this year. He had a back injury earlier this year that was so bad that he even thought about retiring. He made a return to the tennis courts after a 6-month absence and tennis fans would like to see him find his old form. But unfortunately, that didn't happen so far. He mostly participated in doubles in order to ease his way back into competitive tennis.
Fernando Verdasco vs Filip Krajinovic ATP Metz Picks 9/18/2019
by Guy Bruhn - 9/17/2019
After a very subpar period on hard courts, Krajinovic finally showed some life. The draw has assigned him a very tricky opponent in the first round of the tournament in Metz. Peter Gojowczyk is someone that you can't afford to underestimate because that will come back to haunt you. Especially in this kind of playing conditions, that fit the German player like a glove.
