2012 Euro Predictions: Portugal vs. Spain Betting Odds and Predictions
by T.O. Whenham - 6/26/2012
This is a grudge match between Iberian Peninsula neighbors, and with a berth in the Euro 2012 finals on the line stakes couldn’t be higher. Portugal is looking to make a major international breakthrough while Cristiano Ronaldo is still in his prime, while Spain is looking to continue their ridiculous string of international success that started four years ago in this tournament.
Euro 2012 Predictions: England vs. Italy Odds and Betting Picks
by T.O. Whenham - 6/21/2012
The last of the Euro 2012 quarterfinals will take place at 2:45 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 24, in Kiev, Ukraine. England will be the more comfortable team in the stadium as they already have one game there under their belts — their wildly entertaining 3-2 win over Sweden.
Euro 2012 Elimination Round Odds and Betting Preview
by T.O. Whenham - 6/20/2012
The group stage of Euro 2012 is over and just eight teams remain with a shot for the championship. For the most part there aren’t many surprises. Portugal taking the spot most had penciled the Dutch into is a mild upset but far from a major shock, and any two teams could have come out of Group A. The other two groups went exactly to form.
Betting on Euro 2012: Germany vs. Greece Odds and Quarterfinals Picks
by T.O. Whenham - 6/20/2012
The second quarterfinal match of Euro 2012 will be played Friday, June 22, at 2:45 pm ET in Gdansk, Poland. Germany has only played in Ukraine so far, while Greece played in Poland, but not in Gdansk. Gdansk is in northern Poland not far from the German border, so the crowd should be heavily tilted towards the favorite here.
Euro 2012 Betting Predictions: Czech Republic vs. Portugal Odds and Picks
by T.O. Whenham - 6/20/2012
The first quarterfinal of the tournament will be played on Thursday, June 21, at 2:45 p.m. ET in Warsaw, Poland. Czech Republic played their opening games in Poland, but not in Warsaw. Portugal qualified in Ukraine, so there will be more of an adjustment required for them.
Euro 2012 Sunday Odds and Betting Previews
by T.O. Whenham - 6/16/2012
It seems like every time there is a so-called “Group of Death” in a soccer tournament things never seem to turn out quite as expected. This is certainly the case this year at Euro 2012. Based on the odds it should have been Germany and Netherlands that advanced on to the elimination round. While Germany has done their part (though there is still one scenario which could see them eliminated), the Dutch have been disastrous.
Euro 2012 Surprises and Disappointments
by T.O. Whenham - 6/15/2012
We’re through the first two games of the elimination round at Euro 2012. It hasn’t been a great tournament, but there have certainly been highlights. Here’s a look at five of the biggest surprises or disappointments of the tournament so far:
Euro 2012: France vs. Ukraine Odds and Betting Predictions
by T.O. Whenham - 6/14/2012
France and England were supposed to lead the way in Group D at Euro 2012. They played to a somewhat underwhelming draw in their opener, though, and that opened the door for the hosts from Ukraine. With their 2-1 win over Sweden in their opener they are now in a good position. One more win could clinch first place in the Group and assure them a berth in the second round of the tournament. Of course, now they need to find a way to get that win — and their first chance comes here.
Euro 2012 Germany vs. Netherlands Predictions and Betting Picks
by T.O. Whenham - 6/12/2012
The Euro 2012 Group B showdown between Netherlands and Germany is a perfect example of how quickly storylines can change in sports. The Germans were the second favorite in the tournament before things started, with the Dutch not too far behind as the third choice to take home the hardware. Germany looked the part in their 1-0 win over Portugal, keyed by a goal by sniper Mario Gomez. Netherlands didn’t have nearly the same kind of day, though.
2012 Euro Betting Picks: Germany vs. Portugal Preview and Predictions
by T.O. Whenham - 6/8/2012
Group B is the so-called “group of death” in Euro 2012, and this game looms as the most interesting in the first round. Germany is touted as a strong contender to win it all. Portugal could do some damage - but only if they can get out of the first round. This game will be a very good indicator of whether either team is up to the challenge.
2012 Euro Soccer Predictions
by Robert Ferringo - 6/7/2012
The world is watching. Even if America isn’t. Soccer is never going to be as popular as football in the United States. And it will never replace baseball as part of the fabric of our nation’s summer psyche. But Friday, June 8, marks the start of the 2012 European Soccer Championships. And while we here in the states can generally take or leave the most beautiful game, the rest of the world will be fixated on the four-week tournament and it will be THE most watched sporting event on the planet this month. (Take that, NBA Finals!)
2012 Euro Soccer Picks

This can be a tricky time for sports bettors and investors, but fortunately Doc’s Sports Services has you covered for one of the most exciting, most watched, and most potentially profitable sporting events of the summer: the 2012 European Soccer Championships.

Betting on major international soccer tournaments — like the World Cup and Euro, can be a whole lot of fun. It can also be nicely profitable. If you aren’t properly prepared for it, though, it can be a particularly easy way to decimate your bankroll. Euro 2012 Soccer Betting Preview

Euro 2012, the once-every-four-year event widely viewed as the second biggest soccer tournament in the world after the World Cup, starts on June 8. The EPL Battle of the Bottom – Relegation
by Vegas Sports Informer - 8/8/2011
One of my favorite aspects of international soccer is that the weak teams don’t continue to stay in the top-flight leagues year after year…they get relegated! Just this year Argentine soccer giants River Platte were relegated, setting off riots amongst their supporters.
English Premier League Soccer Odds and Betting Predictions

Here in the Las Vegas sportsbooks we’re all happy that the NFL Lockout is over and now we can all get ready for season ‘over/under’ win totals, parlay cards, fantasy football drafts, Monday Night Football parties, and, most importantly, a packed house in every sportsbook on Sunday morning.
USA vs. Japan Women’s World Cup Final Odds and Predictions
by T.O. Whenham - 7/16/2011
Americans do love to back a winner. Early in the Women’s World Cup the story was that no one in North America even remotely cared about the tournament. After a huge win over Brazil, though, the France game drew a huge audience, and the buzz around Sunday’s final is dizzying.
USA vs. France Women’s World Cup Odds and Predictions
by T.O. Whenham - 7/12/2011
After one of the most thrilling, controversial and unlikely wins in recent memory, the Americans move on to the semifinals of the Women’s World Cup where they will take on France. The game, which will be played in Germany, kicks off at noon ET on Thursday. Here’s a look at how the game breaks down with some USA vs. France odds and predictions:
Women’s World Cup Betting and Handicapping Tips
by T.O. Whenham - 6/29/2011
The Women’s World Cup is underway in Germany. I might get in trouble from saying this, but unlike a lot of team women’s sporting events this is one that is actually worth watching. It’s also one that is worth betting on -- there is more betting volume and a wider range of odds available than ever before. If you haven’t started betting on the tournament yet but you want to then here is a cheat sheet with some handicapping tips to get you ready for the action:
Gold Cup Odds: Mexico vs. USA Soccer Predictions
by T.O. Whenham - 6/24/2011
It didn’t take a crystal ball to predict that Mexico and the United States would meet in the final of the 2011 Gold Cup. They are clearly the two best teams in the region, and this will be the third straight time they have met in the last match of this tournament. This game will be a rubber match after the Americans won in 2007 and the Mexicans responded with a win in 2009. There is more on the line here than just bragging rights. The winner secures the CONCACAF spot in the 2013 Confederations Cup. That means they get a chance to play in Brazil and try out the World Cup stadiums a year in advance of the 2014 World Cup. Given that neither team is likely to be particularly tested in their pursuit of a World Cup berth that experience could be invaluable.
