Sweden will play at Stade Oceane when they take on USA on Thursday, June 20, 2019 in a Women's World Cup matchup. The opening line for this game has Sweden at +743 and USA at -418. The bet for a draw has been set at +414.

In a very highly anticipated Group F matchup, the United States and Sweden will be playing for the top spot in the group when they face each other on Thursday afternoon. The United States put together two very impressive performances in its first two games, soundly defeating Thailand 13-0 and following that up with a 3-0 victory over Chile. Sweden has also had a pretty easy go of it, coming away with a 2-0 win over Chile and a 5-1 win over Thailand. The United States will be the favorites in this matchup between two highly ranked nations.

Sweden has had nearly 65 percent of the possession through their first two games at this World Cup, allowing them to dictate the tempo and get plenty of shots at their opponents' goals. They'll be confident coming into this game against the United States, but they'll also know that they are facing another elite attacking unit. Expect Peter Gerhardsson to come up with a slightly more defensive approach for this game.

Key Players for Sweden:

Kosovare Asllani -Asllani is a player that every defense fears. She has excellent speed and great technique in front of goal, as evidenced by her 32 international goals. She's also been on fire in this tournament, scoring four times during qualifications and in both of Sweden's first two group matches.

Linda Sembrant - Sembrant has been fantastic for Sweden through their first two games of the tournament. She's shut down every attack that came her way and she even pitched in with a goal in the win over Thailand. Of course, she hasn't faced the type of talent the Unites States has yet, so she'll need to be at her best in this one.

As expected, the United States were able to ease through their first two group stage matches. However, no one expected them to look this dominant. They've scored 16 goals without conceding any and they've done it with different lineups and setups. Sweden is the most talented opponent they'll face in the group stages, but they should be able to come away with all three points if they play like they did in those first two games.

Key Players for the United States:

Carli Lloyd - With her two goals against Chile on Sunday, Lloyd became the third American to score 10 goals at the World Cup and also became the first woman to score in six straight World Cup matches. The veteran striker, who now has 113 goals in 276 career international appearances, will once again be counted on to be a force up front when she faces Sweden's defense on Thursday.

Abby Dahlkemper - The 26-year-old American defender hasn't had to do too much through the first two games, but she'll be going up against a very good Swedish offense on Thursday. It will be up to her to stop plays through the middle and to quickly get the ball to the United States' top playmakers on counterattacks.
