The Netherlands will play at Stade des Lumieres when they take on Sweden on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 in a Women's World Cup Semifinal matchup. The opening line for this game has the Netherlands at +125 and Sweden at +191. The line on the game being a draw has been set at +202.

The Netherlands will look to keep their dream run going when they face off against Sweden in the semifinals of the Women's World Cup on Wednesday afternoon. The Dutch have nearly flawless soccer at this World Cup, winning their group before beating Japan 2-1 in the Round of 16 and Italy 2-0 last round. The Swedes have also been very impressive, making it to this stage by pulling off the biggest upset of the tournament so far, defeating Germany 2-1 in the quarterfinals. The Netherlands will be the slight favorites, but Sweden is more than capable of winning this one.

It's hard to imagine the Netherlands making too many adjustments going into this game after their consistent performances through their first five games. However, head coach Sarina Wiegman will know that Sweden has talent all over the field and excellent team chemistry, so her job will be to make sure her squad stays focused throughout. It will be interesting to see if they'll be able to control the possession again the way they did against Italy last round.

Key Players for the Netherlands:

Vivianne Miedema - Miedema was seen as one of the top young superstars coming into this World Cup and she's definitely lived up to that billing. After scoring the winner over Italy in the quarterfinals, the 22-year-old forward now has an amazing 60 goals in just 78 matches for her country. She will once again be the focal point of the Dutch attack on Wednesday and chances are Sweden will be preparing a strategy to attempt to slow her down.

Stephanie van der Gragt - The 26-year-old central defender has played excellent soccer on both sides of the ball so far in this tournament. She's used her height and good marking ability to shut down opposing attackers, and she was also able to chip in with her first World Cup goal in that win over Italy.

That was a big win over Germany last weekend, but the Swedes will know that they'll be facing another very tough and different type of opponent in the Netherlands on Wednesday. What should give them hope, though, is that they were able to win that match despite only having 41 percent of the possession. If they can play great defense again when they face the Netherlands, they absolutely do have a shot to move into the final.

Key Players for Sweden:

Kosovare Asllani - Sweden's star attacking midfielder hasn't been as influential in this tournament as most people expected, but she is still the biggest threat to the Dutch defense. The 29-year-old is excellent at running straight at defenders and finding open teammates, so she will definitely be one to watch when Sweden has the ball.

Hedvig Lindahl - Lindahl has arguably been the best goalkeeper at this year's World Cup. She made multiple key saves in that huge win over Germany and has looked the most composed player on the pitch throughout this tournament. She'll need to be at her best again on Wednesday if the Swedes want to make it through.
