On Tuesday afternoon, Italy will be hoping that their high-flying attack will be too much for China to handle in their Round of 16 meeting. Italy was 2-1 during the group stages, scoring a total of seven goals while only conceding two. Barbara Bonansea - The 28-year-old attacker played very well for Juventus this season and her solid play has continued in the World Cup. Bonansea scored three goals during the qualification stages and then went on to score two in Italy's three group stage matches. She'll once again be one of Italy's primary targets around the box in this match against China.

Cristiana Girelli - Girelli has arguably been Italy's top performer so far in this tournament. She scored three goals in the win over Jamaica and she's looked a constant threat when Italy has had the ball. China will probably put a marker on her all game long in this one, so she'll need to be creative to find open spaces and to get some shot attempts off.

The Chinese could not get their offense going last round, scoring just one goal in three games and barely getting into the Round of 16. Still, the world took notice of their excellent team defense, which was as good as any nation over that three-game span. It will be interesting to see how they approach the Italians since this is a knockout game and head coach Jia Xiuquan probably won't want to just sit back for 90 minutes and hope for penalties.

Key Players for China:

Li Ying - Li Ying scored China's lone goal during the group stages and she now has 27 goals in her 110 international appearances. The 26-year-old striker probably won't see too much of the ball in this match, so she will need to make the most of the few opportunities that she gets. She could also use her speed to get behind Italy's defense if China creates some counterattacks.

Wu Haiyan - Wu Haiyan is just 26 years old yet she has plenty of international experience. She will want to tap into all of that experience to keep her team composed when Italy is pushing forward. She is expected to line up in the middle of the defense again in this match, so she'll be tasked with dealing with Italy's top offensive threats.
