Germany will be going up against Sweden in the World Cup Quarterfinals on Saturday in a match they will be pretty heavily favored to win. The Germans have yet to concede a goal in this tournament so far, easily topping their group before picking up a 3-0 win over Cameroon during the Round of 16. Sweden has also been quite good through four games, with their only loss coming against top-ranked United States during group play.

There's a pretty good chance that Germany head coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg will be telling her players to keep on doing exactly what they've done throughout this tournament. Their defense has been excellent and their attack has been able to create plenty of shots every game during this World Cup. Sweden is arguably their toughest match yet, but it's hard to imagine the Germans losing this one if they are once again at their best.

Key Players for Germany:

Giulia Gwinn - The 19-year-old midfielder has not been fazed at all by the big stage during this tournament. She has a goal and an assist through four World Cup matches, her lone goal being the winner in the team's 1-0 win over China during group play. She will once again be tasked with finding holes in the defense and then finding the attackers in front of her in this match against Sweden.

Lea Schüller - The SGS Essen forward has been excellent for this German side ever since she was first called up two years ago. She has nine goals in just 16 total appearances, which includes six goals during qualifiers and her first in the tournament proper in that win over Nigeria. Expect her to again be one of the focal points of the German attack during this match.

In their Round of 16 win over Canada, the Swedes showed that they are comfortable playing a more defensive style against the better teams. They not only defended extremely well in that match, they were also able to create plenty of good shot attempts when they pushed out of their own zone. That will probably be their strategy again against Germany, though it will be quite a bit tougher for them to slow down the German's strong attack.

Key Players for Sweden:

Stina Blackstenius -Blackstenius was able to score the winner for Sweden in that victory over Canada, her first in the tournament after scoring three during the qualification round. The 23-year-old attacker will probably need to drop back a bit more than she's used to help out on defense in this match, and she will need to make the most of the few opportunities that she gets in front of goal.

Nilla Fischer - The 34-year-old Swede now has 175 caps under her belt, so she definitely knows what it like to play in big games like this. In this game against Germany, Sweden is going to need Fischer's leadership and her defensive abilities to have a chance to pull off the upset win.
