Spain will play at Kaliningrad Stadium when they take on Morocco on Monday, June 25, 2018 in a Group B matchup. The opening line for this game has Spain at -245 and Morocco at +650. The total has been set at 2.5.

Spain's depth and attacking mentality should be too much for the Moroccan defense to handle, but Morocco and its fans will be hoping that the strong defense that showed up during qualifications can frustrate their elite counterparts. It would be quite a shock, though, if Spain does not walk away from this game with all three points.

Spain

You can expect head coach Fernando Hierro to tell his players to put this one to bed early to avoid any chance of a shock result. He will tell his team of talented attackers to push forward from the first blow of the whistle and put balls on net. Expect a lot of creative runs and through balls to come from this Spanish side. It wouldn't be too surprising at all if they are able to score four or more goals in this contest.

Diego Costa

Love him or hate him, Diego Costa knows how to get in great positions in front of goal and he doesn't miss when he's called upon. He's strong enough to hold off all of Morocco's defenders and you can be sure that he is going to get his opportunities in this game. The only worry with the 29-year-old is that he loses his cool and gets sent off, which could happen if Morocco decides to deploy a more aggressive strategy.

David Silva

Spain will know that Morocco will attempt to put up a defensive wall in this game, so it will be up to midfielder like Silva to put passes through those pinpoint holes. What's great for them is that the Manchester City midfielder is known for doing just that at the club level. On top of that, he has also been able to score 35 goals in just over 120 appearances for his national team.

Morocco

Morocco does not have the talent to go toe to toe with Spain, but they have shown in recent months that they can defend well as a team. Their hope will be that they can keep Spain off of the scoreboard for the first 40-50 minutes and frustrate them. A draw would be like a win in this matchup, but Morocco might need more than that if they hope to get through to the round of 16.

Ayoub El Kaabi

The 24-year-old striker will know that he will not get many chances to score in this game, so he will need to make the most of the chances that he does end up getting. He's certainly shown that he can score on the international stage with 11 goals in 10 appearances (before the World Cup).

Romain Saiss

The experienced central defender is going to be counted on to keep Spain's forwards - Costa, in particular - from getting in good positions in front of goal. Saiss knows how to use his big frame to stop incoming crosses, but the quickness of Spain's attack might be a problem for him.
