Brazil will play at Kazan Arena when they take on Belgium on Friday, July 6, 2018 in a Quarterfinals matchup. The opening line for this game has Brazil at +108 and Belgium at +215. The total has been set at 2.5.

Coming off of their decisive win over Mexico in the round of 16, Brazil will be taking on Belgium in the quarterfinals. Brazil dominated possession in their 2-0 win over the Mexicans, while Belgium had to score three straight second-half goals to defeat Japan last round. These are two of the most talented teams remaining in the tournament, and it should end up being a very entertaining and tight affair. Brazil are the slight favorites going into this matchup.

Brazil

Brazil's players will have seen how Japan opened up Belgium's defense on multiple occasions and will plan to use their elite attackers to try to do the same thing. They might allow Belgium to have the majority of the possession, but their counter attack might just be too much for them to handle. The one thing that Brazilian fans will worry about is that this is by far the best attack that Brazil has faced so far in the World Cup.

Alisson

So far in this tournament, the 25-year-old keeper has shown why head coach Tite decided to put him in goal over the team's other talented goalkeepers, Ederson and Cassio. He's only conceded one goal in four games and he's stepped up big the few times teams have gotten past Brazil's defense. He needs to be aware of Lukaku and the rest of the elite Belgian attackers in this one, though, since they are very clinical in front of goal.

Philippe Coutinho

Coutinho has quietly played excellent football for the Brazilians throughout this tournament. He's playing a bit further back in the midfield than he usually does for his club, but his passing percentage has been very high and he's been able to score two goals already. Expect him to push a bit further up when the Belgians sit back and look for him to use his lethal right foot from distance.

Belgium

Belgium looked great after falling behind 2-0 to Japan in the round of 16, and they will be looking to take that momentum into their game against Brazil. Their midfield is arguably better than Brazil's, so they should be able to win the possession battle. If they do, they need to be aggressive from the outset to get Brazil out of their comfort zone and force them to make mistakes.

Kevin De Bruyne

The 26-year-old midfielder made key runs and passes in Belgium's comeback win over Japan and you can be sure that he will play a key role again if Belgium does well against Brazil. He's the guy Belgium relies on to pick out the runs from the attackers in front of him, and he can make most of those passes when he's on his game.

Thibaut Courtois

The Chelsea keeper looked great against Japan despite giving up two goals. He is going to be going up against some of the best attackers on the planet in this game, though, so he might need to be even better if Belgium is going to have a chance to win.
