The Toronto Maple Leafs will be going on the road on Saturday to take on the Winnipeg Jets, who have lost two home games in a row. The Maple Leafs currently have one of the best offenses in the league, while the Jets have one of the top five defenses in the Western Conference.

The Jets were able to win both of their games against the Maple Leafs last season. They beat them 5-4 in overtime in their first meeting, then went to Toronto and picked up a 4-2 victory later in the season.

Maple Leafs right wing Phil Kessel has notched 17 goals and 13 assists in 29 games against the Jets, while Tyler Bozak has nine points in 14 career games against them. Goalie Jonathan Bernier has lost both of his starts against Winnipeg, but he also saved 38 of the 40 shots he faced in those games.

On Wednesday night, the Jets lost their second game in a row when the New York Islanders beat them 5-2 in Winnipeg. They committed seven penalties in that loss and allowed the Islanders to score on two of their seven power play opportunities.

The Jets have done very well to hold their opponents to just 2.3 goals per game this season, but their offense is only scoring 2.5 goals per game. Left wing Andrew Ladd has been one of their better offensive players this season by notching 14 goals and 15 assists in 38 games.
