On Friday, the Tampa Bay Lightning will be going on the road to face the Pittsburgh Penguins in a game that will feature two of the best offenses in the NHL. The Lightning and the Penguins have each picked up a win from their two games against each other this season.

The Lightning played a solid all-around game on Wednesday night and ended up easily defeating the Buffalo Sabres 5-1 on the road. Left wing Ondrej Palat was the top star in that win by notching one goal and three assists.

Through 38 games, the Lightning have been one of the best scoring teams in the league by averaging over 3.2 goals per game. Center Tyler Johnson has had a great start to the campaign by scoring 13 goals and providing a team-high 27 assists to his teammates. Goalie Ben Bishop is now 18-6-2 with one shutout, a .914 save percentage and a 2.29 GAA.

On Wednesday night, the Penguins were able to snap their four-game losing skid by beating the Carolina Hurricanes 2-1 at home. They didn't score on the power play in that game, but they did ended up with a dominant 39-25 shooting advantage.

The Penguins are currently in the top five in both scoring and penalty kill percentage.
