Two Western Conference contenders will meet at the pond on Friday night. The St. Louis Blues are playing at the Anaheim Ducks. St. Louis has scuffled as of late, but still reside with a 22-12-3 record; for 47 points. The Blues are currently the fourth seed out of the Eastern Conference. For Anaheim, they continue to sit atop the Western Conference, with a 24-8-6 record. The Ducks are 12-3-3 at home this season.

The Ducks used a Cam Fowler overtime goal to down Vancouver on Sunday. It was just the fifth of the season for Fowler. Anaheim's goaltender Frederik Anderson turned away just 13 of 14 shots in the win. The Ducks are using 30 assists, and 12 goals from Ryan Getzlaf to lead the way. Also scoring for Anaheim has been Matt Beleskley, with 15 goals. The Ducks are scoring 2.7 per game, while allowing opponents to score 2.6.

For the St. Louis Blues, with the return of Brian Elliott, they currently have three goaltenders on their roster. St. Louis lost on Tuesday to Nashville, despite 44 saves from Elliott. The goal scorers for the Blues in the loss were Chris Butler and T.J. Oshie, both in the second period. Vladimir Tarasenko has been fantastic for the Blues; with 22 goals and 17 assists. St. Louis ranks third in the league on the power play; scoring on 23.8% of their opportunities.
