The New York Rangers take on the Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The series is tied 1-1. The opening line has New York at +115 and Tampa Bay at -135. The over/under has been set at 5.
Tampa Bay stormed back in game 2 to with a 6-2 win over New York. Tyler Johnson has been on a terror in the playoffs and kept it going with a hat trick in game 2. He's had four multiple goal scoring games this postseason and each one has followed a loss by the Lightning. In addition to Johnson, Alex Killorn contributed two goals while Steven Stamkos added one to help the Tampa Bay forget about that tough loss on Saturday.
For the Rangers, Chris Kreider and Derek Stepan scored the two goals on the night. However, it wasn't enough as Henrik Lundqvist gave up six goals on just 26 shots which would make it tough on any team trying to go up 2-0 in a series.
The Lightning will look to take a 2-1 lead when the series moves back to Tampa for games 3 and 4. Tyler Johnson will look to keep his hot streak and MVP caliber playoff run going as well.
Head-to-head, the over is 4-1-1 in the last 6 meetings in Tampa Bay and 4-1 in the last 5 meetings. The road team is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings but the Rangers are 1-5 in the last 6 meetings.
