The Detroit Red Wings will head out on the road on Saturday night to face the Vancouver Canucks in a game between two of the top penalty kills in the NHL. The first time these two teams played each other this season, the Red Wings came away with a 5-3 home win over the Canucks.

The Red Wings have now won three out of their last four games after defeating the New Jersey Devils 3-1 on Wednesday night. Center Darren Helm was the top star in that win by scoring two out of Detroit's three goals.

In 38 games, the Red Wings have one of the top defenses in the NHL by only allowing their opponents to score 2.3 goals per game against them. Veteran winger Henrik Zetterberg is the team leader in points with 33 by notching nine goals and 24 assists. Goalie Jimmy Howard is 15-6-7 on the season with two shutouts, a .921 save percentage and a 2.08 GAA.

On Thursday night, the Canucks gave up their lead late in the game against the Los Angeles Kings and were beaten 3-2 on home ice. They did score on their only power play chance, but they also only ended up with 16 shots on goal.

The Canucks are currently in the top 10 in the league in both scoring and penalty kill percentage. Goaltender Ryan Miller has had a very good first season in Vancouver by going 19-8-1 with three shutouts and a 2.52 GAA.
