The Winnipeg Jets will be going on the road on Tuesday to face the Chicago Blackhawks in a game that will feature two of the best defenses in the NHL. In their first meeting this season, the Jets went to Chicago and shut out the Blackhawks 1-0.

On Friday night, the Jets had their two-game winning streak snapped when the Philadelphia Flyers beat them 4-3 in overtime. They lost that game despite holding the Flyers goalless on their four power play opportunities and outshooting them 28-23.

So far this season, the Jets have had one of the top defenses in the NHL by allowing just 2.3 goals per game. Goalie Ondrej Pavelec has a 10-8-5 record this year with one shutout, a .913 save percentage and a 2.34 GAA.

On Sunday night, the Blackhawks played well on both ends of the ice and were able to shut out the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-0 at home. Right wing Patrick Kane was the star of the show in that win by notching one goal and two assists.

The Blackhawks currently have one of the best defenses in the league by giving up less than two goals per game to their opponents. Kane now has a team-high 16 goals and 20 assists in 34 games played. Netminder Corey Crawford has won 12 of his 19 starts this season and currently owns an excellent .927 save percentage.
