The Washington Capitals will head out on the road on Saturday to take on the Pittsburgh Penguins, who are currently on a two-game losing streak. The Penguins seemed to enjoy facing the Caps last season, sweeping their four-game regular season series.

The Capitals had their three-game winning streak come to an end on Tuesday when the New York Rangers were able to beat them 4-2 on the road. Washington's top power play wasn't great in that loss, scoring on just one of their five opportunities with the extra man.

Through their first 34 games this season, the Capitals have scored 2.9 goals per game while allowing 2.6 goals per game. Superstar winger Alex Ovechkin now has a team-high 16 goals on the year to go along with his 12 assists. Goalie Braden Holtby has also had a pretty good start to the season by going 15-8-5 with two shutouts and a 2.30 GAA.

The Penguins are on a losing streak for just the second time this season after being defeated 4-3 by the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night. They didn't score on either of their power play opportunities and also lost 28-25 at the faceoff dot.

Right now, the Penguins are in the top five in the NHL in scoring, goals against, power play percentage and penalty kill percentage. Center Evgeni Malkin has been one of the top offensive players in the league this season by notching 16 goals and 25 assists.
