The Vancouver Canucks will be heading out on the road on Tuesday night to take on the San Jose Sharks, who have lost two games in a row. The first time these two teams faced each other this season, the Canucks were able to pull off a 3-2 win in San Jose.

The Canucks gave up a game-tying third period goal to the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday and ended up losing 2-1 in overtime. Their offense had one of its worst games of the year in that loss, finishing with just 14 shots.

Through 34 games, the Canucks are in the top 10 in the league in both scoring and penalty kill percentage. Left wing Daniel Sedin has a team-high 30 points this season by notching eight goals and 22 assists.

Last Saturday, the Sharks didn't score a goal after the first period in their game against the Los Angeles Kings and ended up losing 3-1 on the road. San Jose were 0-for-2 on the power play in that loss and only ended up with 22 shots on goal.

Through 36 games this season, the Sharks have one of the best power plays in the league by scoring on 24.5 percent of their chances with the extra man. Center Joe Pavelski currently leads the team in goals with 17, while veteran Joe Thornton has a team-high 23 assists and 31 points.
