The Vancouver Canucks will be heading out on the road on Tuesday to take on the Montreal Canadiens, who are 9-3-1 on home ice this season. The first time these two teams met this year, the Canucks were able to come away with a 3-2 overtime win in Vancouver.

On Sunday night, the Canucks gave up three second-period goals to the Ottawa Senators and ended up losing 4-3 in overtime. Vancouver went 0-for-3 on the power play in that loss and ended up being outshot 45-33.

The Canucks currently have one of the better penalty kills in the league by stopping opposing power plays 85.4 percent of the time. Veteran winger Radim Vrbata has a team-high 11 goals on the season to go along with his 10 assists. Goaltender Ryan Miller has been able to win 16 of his 21 games and now has a 2.60 GAA.

Montreal lost their third game in a row on Saturday night when the Dallas Stars blew them out 4-1 on the road. In that game, the Canadiens could not get their offense going, finishing with just 17 shots on goal.

So far this year, the Canadiens have averaged just 2.4 goals per game while giving up 2.6 goals per game. Their best offensive player has been left wing Max Pacioretty, who has 12 goals and eight assists through 29 games.
