The Vancouver Canucks last played the Florida Panthers on November 19th in Rogers Arena.  The Canucks lost the game on a shootout by a score of 3-2.  With this loss, the Canucks went on a five game losing streak.  This is the longest losing streak for the Canucks since 2009. Eddie Läck managed thirty four saves during the game, but it was not enough to stop the Panthers from closing this one out in the shootout.  Brad Boyes of the Panthers scored in the first period and Shawn Matthias scored during the third period to tie the game.  The Canucks had scoring plays in the second and third periods from Jannik Hanson and Shawn Matthais.  During the shootout Jonathan Huberdeau scored for the Florida Panthers in the win.

Vancouver is currently in the bottom half of their division and is a full twenty three games behind their division leader, the Anaheim Ducks.  The Florida Panthers are doing even worse and are second to last in their division and are almost a staggering forty points behind the Boston Bruins.
