The Vancouver Canucks, who have won five of their eight games this month, will go on the road to face the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday night. This will already be the fourth meeting between these two teams; the Canucks beat the Oilers in the first three games.

Last Friday, Vancouver couldn't get their offense going against the Arizona Coyotes and were shut out 5-0 on home ice. They were 0-for-3 on the power play in that loss and they couldn't score despite having 35 shots on goal.

The Canucks have one of the better penalty kills in the league this year by stopping 85.7 percent of opposing power plays. Through 18 games, center Henrik Sedin has five goals and a team-high 17 points. Goalie Ryan Miller has an 11-3-0 record with one shutout, a .902 save percentage and a 2.65 GAA.

Edmonton lost their third game in a row on Sunday when they were defeated 2-1 by the Coyotes at home. They did play pretty well in that game, scoring on one of their four power plays and finishing with a 34-28 shot advantage.

The Oilers are only scoring 2.4 goals per game this season while giving up 3.3 goals per game to their opponents. Netminder Ben Scrivens is just 4-7-1 through 14 starts with a 2.94 GAA and a .899 save percentage. Center Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has five goals and is tied for the team lead in points with 13.
