The Vancouver Canucks will be hoping that their offense can take advantage of the Edmonton Oilers' struggling defense when they visit them on Saturday night. The Canucks have already been able to beat the Oilers twice this season by the combined score of 7-4.

On Thursday, the Canucks were able to win their third game in a row when they defeated the Montreal Canadiens 3-2 in overtime. Goaltender Ryan Miller saved 23 shots in that game and the Canucks were 1-for-2 on their power play opportunities.

The Canucks have one of the best penalty kills in the NHL right now and their offense has scored 3.4 goals per game. Right wing Radim Vrbata has a team-high five goals this season and he is second on the team with 11 points. Miller is now 7-1-0 through his first eight starts with one shutout and a 2.27 GAA.

In their 10th game of the season, the Oilers didn't score until the third period against the Nashville Predators and ended up losing 4-1 at home. They were outshot 35-27 in that loss and they were 0-for-2 on the power play.

The Oilers have been decent on offense so far this season, but their defense has given up 3.5 goals per game. One player who has played well for them is left wing Taylor Hall, who has six goals, nine points and a plus-3 through 10 games. Goalie Ben Scrivens has a 4-4-0 record with an .896 save percentage and a 3.01 GAA.
